Join the Clickmare Collab, a TDC Halloween game project
News posted Today by Joshtek Post A Comment
Rather than a usual competition, this year we're doing a Halloween collaboration... Working with LordHannu (who did the art) I present you to:

Premise: A clicker is in a nightmare world which contains a number of levels/zones/minigames, each of which is a different nightmare made by a different developer.

Your role: Make one or more level levels for your nightmare(s). Basically, if it would fit into a Clicker's nightmare and doesn't raise copyright/legal issues then go for it. This could be a nightmare based on one of your previous games, use elements from one or more more of the official Click demo games, be inspired by the Click tools or the community, etc.

How to take part: If you're interested then @ on Discord on the #Klik-Chat channel asking to be added to the group via the Kliktopia Discord. The game itself needs to be made in Clickteam software (e.g. Clickteam Fusion 2.5).

Release date. The deadline is to have all the games integrated for a Halloween release. We'll want some time before then for integration and testing, but how long will depend on how many people take part in the project.

Itch.io Game Jam: Unleashed and Unbound Spirit Saga
News posted Today by Joshtek Post A Comment

You may remember Indigo Steel Shield from games such as Scourge of the Black Nova, but as noted on the DC forum now Indigo is running their very on own game entitled 'Unleashed and Unbound Spirit Saga'.

The theme is: "Make a game about one person rising to oppose a cruel and unjust society, government, or organization", but also pay attention to the very particular rules as they provide some unexpected requirements about what the game must contain.

Submissions open from September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM to October 23rd 2026 at 4:00 AM.

See itch.io for details.

New Game: Battle of NukeBoards
News posted 8th September, 2026 by Joshtek Post A Comment

WOLF Software's Pawel "K@czor" Koscielny in collaboration with Piotr "PoW" Pochanke, Aleksander "Cage" Kowalczyk and Alicja "Crazy" Piekarczyk have brought us the action game Battle of NukeBoards, which provides a real blast from the past... a TGF game two decades in the making. Best of all? The cut scenes are skippable!

Comments from the Creator:
"This is more than a retro shooter-platformer. It's a piece of Polish Klik history turned into a game. The characters you'll meet are based on real people from the Polish Klik scene, and many of the events, situations and jokes throughout the game are references to actual events and stories from the community."

P.S. This game is in English, but Klik games in Polish are available at Kliktopia and Klikibaza.

New Game: The Last Ladybug
News posted 1st September, 2026 by The Chris Street Post A Comment
Developer BlackRX has created a new pseudo-3D, retro-inspired shooter called The Last Ladybug, which Clickteam have published to Steam and Nintendo Switch platforms. Featuring 15 stages and branching level selections, this game has been technically well-coded and is visually old-school. Give it a go :)

Comments from the Creator:
"In a world where the skies are ruled by mechanical monsters and the lands are scorched by destruction, only one brave soul remains: THE LAST LADYBUG, the humanoid heroine with wings of steel and a heart of fire. Fly forward and save your swarm in this action packed rail shooter!"

Old Games: 9 new entries at Kliktopia from Bouli to MagiK Battle
News posted 24th August, 2026 by Joshtek 1 Comment

After spending a lot of time bring Kliktopia back from a server failure, we're now starting to get new old games added again.

This batch was uploaded by regular contributor Capitaine Caverne and it brings the archive to 4,246 entries and allows us to bring the following games back to The Daily Click:

  • Curling 2008 by Sammy and Pedro. According to DavidN's review: "Overall, this is worth downloading to play against someone else. It's got a very good engine behind it and runs as smoothly as you'd like. Nice one." (8/10)
  • Bugzapper by gGg. According to ChrisB's review: "...because there is a level editor, there is some lastability, but because of the restraints on the game in terms of play area, you'll only play it for about 10 minutes at most." (5/10)
  • Finger Stretcher (Playtest) by Muggus. According to funkyseaweed's review: "Might not keep you playing all day, but for a good while at least. I would recommend stretching your fingers and your brain by downloading this :)" (8/10)

New game: Nicator
News posted 20th August, 2026 by Joshtek 1 Comment
If you've been following the forums, you'll know that LordHannu has been working for a while on his just-released game Nicator.

Made in Clickteam Fusion 2.5, this upgrade/remake of his old game called undead slayer is a retro/horror platformer featuring his usual brilliant artwork.

Comments from the Creator:
"In a world where the dead have been awakened by the undead king, cemeteries aren't places for the dead to rest anymore. Horror walks the land of the living. Face the gruesome horror as Nicator, the chosen knight, is brave enough to walk the path to face the undead king.

Re-release: Knytt Classic
News posted 17th August, 2026 by The Chris Street 1 Comment
Twenty years ago, the klik classic Knytt was released to the community by now well-known indie developer Nifflas. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this release, another developer - Bit Kid has ported this - now called Knytt Classic - for modern machines (although I'm not 100% certain this version was created with a Clickteam product). With over 1500 screens to explore, this classic game has been reborn. If you've never experienced a Knytt game... you're in for a treat :)

Comments from the Creator:
"To help celebrate the 20th anniversary, Bit Kid (Chasm, WOLFHOUND) is proud to present Knytt Classic, a free pixel-perfect port with full controller support, achievements, bonus modes, display effects, and much more! Guide the Knytt, a peaceful being who is abducted by aliens for a cruise across the solar system and ends up crash-landing on another world. Explore the atmospheric, maze-like planet and collect all the parts from your crashed ship in order to return home."

New game: Call of Dipsy
News posted 16th August, 2026 by Joshtek 5 Comments

APDGuy (who you might remember from The Quest of James Denis and Squary the Squarer in Snow Square) has now brought us a platform game Call of Dipsy made using Clicteam Fusion 2.5. It is a weird and wacky Sonic-style platformer with enemies including a character which you might identify as a library graphic of a futuristic version of one of the most famous Clickteam game demo protagonists.

Comments from the Creator:
"Call of Dipsy is a joke game that took one month to develop...but went too far. Summary: This game reeks, but that kind of stink that smell good."

New game: To Air is Human
News posted 5th August, 2026 by Joshtek 3 Comments

A fun pun for an interesting concept, we have Play Journal brings us To Air is Human alongside a video on how the game was made and a bit of a whistle stop history of Click. You go up and down to catch the air currents currently going right, avoid obstacles. I did not get a perfect score.

Comments from the Creator:
"After watching a video about how hot air balloons navigate, I thought it would be fun to make a game out of it. The player can only move up and down. To move side to side, the player must enter an air stream that is going where they want to go. The goal of the game is to safely navigate your hot air balloon to the landing site of each level to the east. You are penalized if your balloon is damaged, or late. Try to get a perfect score of 100. I did... Once. If you complete all five levels, you will unlock an extra mode."
