One of the thing's that I like about this (The Nasa one) is it has multiple maps. Ex.
An older survey I'm sure. But the whole restricted airspace area is blocked out, I'm pretty sure that's it.
My bad pete, i just thought about how incredibly creepy it is that getting driving directions to your house is so easy.
Willy, no it's not live, Google Earth aka Keyhole updates every so often, the oldest of the pictures will be about 4 years.
I don't know about worldwind, but generally they have lesser resolution, less coverage, and less updated. Also less features such as address look up / driving directions.

And the Nasa one is like 6 or seven different sattelite surveys taken over the years, though I'm sure that one or two of them are still updated occasionally.
