Some of you may or may not know about the software kalled Keyhole, that's basically satellitle mapping software. It carries a subscription price and all that, but I'm here to tell you about one that's free, though not quite as good.
It's a recently abanded NASA project, you can basically zoom in on the world. I can't put it any simpler, I was able to find my apartment. Check it out, though it's a 185 meg download, and does require you to be online for the more detailed pictures.
Better Example
That's my grandmothers house I grew up in as a kid. That car in the middle is my uncle's Lincoln. It's crazy.
heh, good one shab, but i don't think it was necessary, because there's no coordinates or street names present to lead anyone to that location in the picture, there's not enough information for any pedos trying to look for 22 yr olds , an address is more leading, but not this
yes there were coordinates up there, they'd just have to calculate where the hell that was But who the hell would do that instead of just going to the nearest park and snatch some small 11-year old girl (like that Saaya Irie )
I could use that thing when I'm coming home from the pub.

Boo and hiss, it only has low-res shots of the UK. I read Google will eventually have hi-res shots of Europe so I'll hold out till then. I do enjoy mucking around with these satellite things though.
Keyhole was bought out by google, and they are renaming it Google Earth. I have the beta version which is so damn amazing I waste hours every day on it.
Google Earth has two databases, primary and legacy. The primary one is the newest, which added at least 15 meter resolution to the entire world. Also in major cities they have 3D buildings in addition to the 3D terrain.
They also now have address lookup for Canada, and the UK.
This is my house
Aiea Hawaii isn't that important so it's at a lesser resolution.
In Google Earth, formerly Keyhole, you can tilt the camera angle to see the terrain. I live 800' up next to a forest reserve.
This is Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii.
This is it with 3D buildings turned on, you can see the height and shape of them.
And this is for pete, thats how High res the UK is now!
Steve Zissou: Anne-Marie, do all the interns get Glocks?
Anne-Marie: No, they have to share one.

Fit... fancy doing a capture of:
Lat:
50:47:08N (50.7855)
Lon:
1:57:37W (-1.9603)
So I can see my house?
Edit: I downloaded the trial and can only get a really low-res shot of the area where I live. Sigh.
