Wow, I haven't reviewed a game here at the DC since Tops The Pig 2, which was back in September 2002 I believe. Anyhow, normally I wouldn't do this sort of thing. Hype is a bad thing, and in my honest opinion Brainless has been under-hyped.

It is, put simply, a brilliant, brilliant game. Now I personally have never played Metal Slug (which this game is based on), but I was surprised when I downloaded this at the professionalism of it. It's great fun!

Presentation:
One of the most brilliantly presented klik games ever, definately on a par with Eternal Daughter but probably not better. Menus are well done, and highly stylized. However, I dislike the irritating Comic Sans font.

Graphics:
They are excellent. Although a lot of the characters look brilliant, they also look like the guys from Lee Bambers Zeb, but thats not a bad thing! The backdrops are very cool too, and there is lots of blood. And funny sequences, like the Matrix parody or the Scary Movie parody (the piano chasing you down the stairs). Brilliant stuff.

Sounds And Music:
Again, these are very very cool. The voices are from the games creator (I think) and have been edited enough to sound hardcore and aggressive. The music too is well done, very action packed and suited to its current stage.

Gameplay:
Hugely addictive. However, the enemies keep coming at you thick and fast, and some of the bosses are irritatingly hard, or take a hundred million hits. Thats probably the worst part about the game. But the bits inbetween, they are so cool.

Lastability:
Currently, this is the only click game I frequently play. Although the demo is reasonably short, its long enough for about 20 minutes of play.

Final Comment:
In my opinion, Brainless beats Eternal Daughter away in terms of gameplay, and thus, to me, is the best klik game to have ever graced the community. Do NOT miss it.
