GOTW: 22nd November 2003
News posted 21st November, 2003 by ShadowCaster
I'm back! If some of you are interested, I think I did pretty well in everything except for MATH2010 and NETS2009... For the record I would have gone better in NETS2009 if I had remembered my calculator .

This week's winner of the GOTW award is istvan for his very cool game Skelletor. Be sure to check it out, as well as checking out the games in this weeks poll, because whenever I leave it a couple of weeks, there's more good games to fill it with .

Next Week's GOTW Will Feature:
The Line Continues, The Revolution, Colony, Happyland: Happy Sadness & Hurdler.

congrats istvan. ok, prepare to be annoyed TDC. any particular reason that The Spirit Engine has been excluded from this weeks GOTW chooses? It was released the same time that the other GOTW games were. Was it the spectacular gfx, great layout, gameplay, or awesome music that didnt live up to the GOTW status? come on peoples, this site really is starting to make me wonder whats going on. end of rant.

Citizen: The Spirit Engine was not subbmitted to The Daily Click. Circy was just posting that it was released, it is up to the creator or company to submit it. Well thats just my opinion anyway.

Exactly as Tom says, it wasnt submitted to DC so it cant appear as part of the poll.

TomH, yeah i didnt know that it hadnt been officially submitted by natomic, but in speaking with Stop Gap of Acoders, his game Roller wasn't submitted to TDC at the time it appeared in the GOTW poll. Just seems a shame for such a great game (one that will get others to look at click and say "wow!, i want to do that") wont be considered, while games are often put in that (please dont take offense) are not very good, and certainly not on the same level as TSE. I am in no way an advocate for TSE or Natomic (although i respect both mark pay and natomic), but it seems unfair. ok, end of this rant

When you saw a game that wasnt on DC but was in the poll, it must have either been done back when Rikus was doing the GOTW, or otherwise the game was probably deleted after the GOTW started. If you want to contact Natomic and get them to submit it to DC it will appear in next week's poll (provided they include screenshots :))

How do we get our games to be a choice on GOW?

Why isn't the speed engine there? It's even on the front page?...

are you trying to be funny CYS??

cheers everyone. About spirit engine, if it was submitted to the DC than it couldve made it for game of the week, but it would be unfair to enter it if it hadnt been submitted to the DC, im just glad i didnt have to compete with it. thanks again everyone who voted for Skelletor!

Uhm...TomH, in case you don't know the speed engine, it has gotten 32 thumbs ups (without mentioning the thumbs down :P) with 144 downloads. http://www.create-games.com/download.asp?id=3664

lol, DeliDash one and it was made in Blitz

Im not sure, but i think TomH mistook Speed Engine (which should definately be up for game of the week) for Spirit Engine. An easy mistake
