Shen: The interface is really drawn out, things you use often in TGF (ie direct draw) are in preferences, and if your used to TGF it requires thinking to use it!. Jeez do i need to say anymore!
You have to click the windows close in the amination editor, and then click yes to save the animation, you have got to admit the animation editor is miles nicer in TGF.
I prefer the insert objects thing in tgf as well its just more suited to me.
you can round your trig in TGF to one pixel, which is all you need , you cant have pos 320.567893 345.23648 can you? Smash your monitor screen and you will find there is metal gauze, just behind the lovely nasty chemicals behind the glass. The gauze defines the actual size of the pixels, so whats the ponit of calculating the posions to decimal points, i agree in the meantime yes, but while calculating just times it up, ah you know this already...
And if you're used to MMF, which a lot of people (not saying you) can't be bothered to be, then it doesn't require thinking at all. Personal preference.

There's a toolbar, a menu, and a right-click list to insert objects.
The point of calculating the positions to decimal points is that otherwise TGF rounds it to the nearest number - usually -1 and 0. Therefore without attempting to add the decimals your character can only move up, right, and upandright.

Well I dont like mmf much either, the graphics editor is to hard to get around, I mean they could of easily made a change canvas box right on the screen with out you having to click around trying to find it, I dont like the stupid black lines around the pixels it shows when you are zoomed in, I dont like the fact that you cant just insert an extention, its like hey would you like to try the insert new object wizard, ad I'm like hey why not? and its like active backdrop or one of these and I'm like what? I just want to insert a damn extention and its like Do you see extenstions on the list? no you freaking dont. leave me alone i dont want to talk about this anymore. and I'm like hey asshole your gonna insert the damn extention so them I'n like close window. then I click the insert object button in the toolbar and its like What would you like? and I'm like where the fucks my extension and its like omg ha ha its not on the list silly me. then I finnally go back in to the insert object wizard and its like Hey man wanna use this wizard? and I'm like fuck no its shit you dont even let me insert the extention and its like well excuuuuse me! wtf am I not good enough for you? and I'm like No, and I click stop using wizard and its like. fucking fine, heres your damn extenstion and I'm like about time you slow ass prick. So i insert it then I'm like okay lets change the window size and its like ha ha its not just two clicks away like tgf its like 18!!! HA HA HA HA die you shithead. "TGF is too simplistic" yeah, and that's the rason alot of people use it, MMF would be much better if it had a TGF style interface, MMF interface is bogged because of all the extras added in there. MMF Reminds me of one of those sticky note boards, crap all over the place. And yes, the graphics editor is horrible in my opinion and as that's where I spend the 2nd most amount of time while kliking I tend to use TGF, build the game, then open it in MMF add whatever MMF exclusive features I need and use MMF to compile it.

I've always been using mmf, but one day I downloaded the TGF demo. I remember thinking "This is so primitive." Simply put, TGF cannot compare to MMF.
"I hate MMF, it has all these windows."
That doesn't matter if you can't see them. Just maximize the one you're working with.

Well I can't stand TGF's. TGF only goes from 1:1 to 1:8. MMF goes from 16:1 to 1:16. I don't recall TGF having a paint bucket (but I could be wrong). MMF has more tools, a larger window to work in, and the ability to stretch images.
"I can't find an object in MMF"
That is because MMF has more extentions meaning you can do more. Just look in the objects menu and remember that everything is alphabeticlly organized. Remember that the more common objects can also be found in another menu, and the most common have buttons.
