Hi,

Looking for some of the worst games you ever played. Why?
For inspiration.Like really bad games.Doesnt matter if they are indie or ....non-indie?
How to get inspiration from them? Just play them and think about the things you could improve...
Oh dont list any from yoyogames sandbox since that site has quite a lot of them....
Worest game I played was IDK what since I only play good games with good reviews...Usualy games from lists like 100 top games from 2012 and stuff.

From the top of my head... I rememeber the GameCube port of Sonic Adventure was very bad. There were so many issues with it that obviously needed polishing!

Cross Edge on the PS3. And Agarest, also on PS3. These games were needlessly complex to learn and the overall production value wasn't great, it was made even worse by the fact that both games (and some others by the same publisher/developer) shared the EXACT same text engine and art style for dialogue sequences.

These games were by no means abysmal, but I really disliked them though. I can see some people enjoying them. I know I've got a game or two in recent years where I detested it so much, I didn't even bother to finish the first level or two. I'm trying to remember what they were...

Edit: Oh, Duke Nukem Forever was one of them.

Pretty much any professional wrestling "game" from the SNES forward. There were some especially pitiful attempts on the PS2. The gameplay was a miserable button-mashing waste of time, in my opinion.

I know what you mean. For me specifically this was Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS. I only played the first area then had no desire to play any more of it. I am not even sure why - the game looked really good and played just fine. I really love the PS2 original as well but for some reason this entry just didn't do it for me.

Watch some AVGN or play some bible games for NES.

By the way, if you only play the games featured in "Top 100" lists you're missing out on a lot of good stuff.

I don't play many games. Only the ones that score high on metacritic. I only have so much time to play anything these days.

Blasphemy!
"Smackdown 2" on the PS1 was one of my all time favourite gaming experiences, and I don't even like wrestling. I used to play it with my housemates all the time, back in the day (actually it was many years after the day, but we all clubbed together to buy a second hand ps1 and about 3 games). I really sucked at it, so I made my own custom wrestler called "Wolfman" who looked like a giant werewolf and could mongolian-chop everyone to death, just by pure button-mashing. It was awesome

Oh, I knew there was one game where you could make your own wrestler and give them any costume and jumbotron cinematic you wanted...The exception proves the rule. I played that one too...Except instead of making a wolfman, I put deer antlers on the head of the wrestler I made. Weird stuff.

SONIC GENERATIONS.

Wow, what a let down that game was for me. Let me tell you what I strongly dislike about this game:

They promised us the tight, responsive controls of the original Megadrive/Genesis games. The did not deliver that promise. They controls were good for the most part, just the jumping felt weird to me. It's not quite the same. It might be nit picking, but it bugged me.

There were only three 2D levels that were remade in 3D. The rest of the level were all from 3D Sonic games. Yeah, it was called "Generations" so I guess I should have expected as much, but it just seems like a wasted opportunity and/or laziness. Why give us the same 3D levels, when we could have beautiful re-imaginings of the older, 2D levels?

Now we get to the worst part of EVERY recent sonic game I've played - The boss battles. Boss battles in 3D Sonic games are horrible. I usually find them the glitchiest parts of the game, but that's not the problem here. The problem is that they drag on, and on and on and on... Then you die. Then you restart it again. 10 minutes later you die, then restart the poorly thought out sequence again.

This post was more of a rant, but oh man, those boss battles... I can't stand them. Keep them short and sweet SEGA, please!

It was really short, but since it didn't cost much during the steam sale I can't complain. It was worth the money for me.

It is a good game. It was just a HUGE disappointment for me. The last boss was the worst.

Heroes of the Lance for the NES was really terrible. I remember I bought that game and Ultima- Quest of the Avatar at Toys R' Us at the same time. Let me tell you I played the SHIT out of Quest of the Avatar. Mostly because it was really good, and partly because HOTL was really bad.
