In the New England area it'd be Mahio (We don't like R's) I say it as Mar EE O , though I've heard others say Ma Rio round here (Colorado). But yeah, all depends on where the person is from; no different from those with a serious mank accent for you guys. Craps, I'm an old man!

There are hundreds of accents in the US, and the vast majority of them do not sound like morons when they say the word "Mario." If wishes were fishes then we'd all smell like ladies' underwear.
