Never found the object limit a problem in tgf...check out the number used in my Defender game (Downloads..Retro)

It's never been a problem per se, but it's something you always had to be aware of. I've gotten VERY close to that limit though, and I agree, it's nice that it's not there any longer (5000 is MORE than enough).

working within limits is all part of the fun. So long as you want to make games like the retro software houses did.

Same as Slink here, I start everything in tgf and switch to mmf2 when theres really no other way.

Bit late in responding! Thanks for the answers. Still would like a list of new features in tgf2 that are not in tgf. The posts do not really list them all.

TGF1 is actually better than TGF2 as it supports extensions

And for sounds in TGF 1 - use DMC2. It's as good as MMF2 built-in thingy and can additionally play MP3& modules.

Use TGF1 or MMF2.

TGF2 supports extensions.

But only the ones Clickteam want it to.

TGF VS TGF 2, I HAVE THE GAMES FACTORY PRO AND I HAVE BEEN USEING TGF OVER 6-7 YEARS, ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO I BOUGHT A NEW PC WINDOWS XP AND EVERY SO OFTEN THERE AFTER GAMES WOULD SPASS OUT......

I BOUGHT TGF 2 JUST TO STOP THIS PROBLEM AND IT SEEMS TO HAVE WORKED, I DON'T REALLY NO HOW TO USE TGF 2 SO WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING IS BUILDING MY GAMES IN TGF AND IMPORTING IT INTO TGF 2 PLAY

THATS ALL ITS GOOD FOR FOR ME LOL
