Nope its official.

The E3 is more or less gone, or at least its going to be much, much smaller. It's a shame really, if I knew 2006 was going to be the last one, I would of paid more attention

I thought that it was going to become smaller so that it didn't become swamped with people wanting to play games, allowing the gaming press more access. I think we'll still get the news, but it will come from a smaller building.

Yeh they're still going to be hosting some kind of event - but much much smaller I think.
I think that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo will decide just to hold their own talks/events to promote products and games - and just invite people from magazines and stuff. Maybe?
