That's fine, I can't be fucked with Steam as I don't have online at home.
The thought of having to upgrade my computer again is scary; price wise. I'll need a new board (unless I can come across a cheap Barton), a new GFX card (My Geforce4 is showing it's age), and a new chip.
It may actually be cheaper for me to get the X360 than to upgrade at this point, cause now that I think about it, Hitman: Blood Money is also coming out for it, and I really, really want to play that game.
Apparently microsoft's releasing some sort of gamertag type thing where everything you play on Vista, X360, and Windows SmartPhones will be added to your gamer score or something. There was also something about playing games with players on different systems (eg. an XBox 360 user plays with a Vista user).
Microsost also announced Grand Theft Auto 4, which I am still way to young to play.
There's been GTA 3, GTA VC and GTA San-andreas (console-wise, not including GTA, GTA 2, GTA London).
GTA 4 is considered 'next-gen' - as was GTA 3 when the PS2 and Xbox were released. So GTA 4 will be the start of the next-gen GTA, hence the name (as far as I am aware).
I haven't heard anything except, "it will make use of the Wii's unique controller". I'd guess it's going to be for shooting/flash lights, etc. A Chainsaw! OMFG give me a chainsaw! Now that would be a cool ass use of the rev controller.
Craps, I'm an old man!

I doubt we'll be seeing PC gamers playing against Xbox 360 players. Sounds like too much hassle for the developers (not to mention forcing users to use Live with Vista) and there's obvious controller disadvantage in FPSs etc.
I'm just as good with a gamepad as I am with a mouse (Blame Timesplitters 2 on frantic speed with lvl 5 bots) in FPS's anyway.
Edit: I should point out that's only when the gamepad sensitivity is configured correctly, I suck some serious ass at the ones where the sensitivity is screwed and unconfigurable (No one lives forever on PS2 for example).

Was cruising Cnet and saw this article "E3: PS3's state-of-the-art controller." made me laugh quite hard; stupid CNet.
i was actually thinking about the ps3 controller, after seeing on that stupid news post it actually seemed like it would be really good for fps game, can xbox360 take mouse? ofcourse it can,it has to,the Wii controller is a neat idea
anyway, res evil ended up on ps2,after they said they would not develop a resevil like it again for sony,so its only fair to assume they will develop on ps3 eventually aswell, call of duty is ps3 aswell, tomb raider no doubt, and any other worth playing game on xbox will find its way to ps3,oh there is killzone aswell, you know, the one everyone said was impossible and that it was only a cg render, well,im still not convinced but one of the sony chaps has blatently said it was real time
on the gta front, well,im not sure how they will pull this one off.the past titles have been restricted so much, both in graphics and with its shite cartoon animation to keep the heat off the developers, which, lets face it,didnt work, but im looking forward to it,if they make a good movement engine and everything,it will be sweet
and well,ps3,the cost will come down, but i think its reasonable to charge for the technology they have in it,they arent scummy like ms who sold xbox for a loss to try and make up a consumer base,i recall reading sony build factories specifically for manufacturing ps3's,oh and also,ps3=600 (u.s bling right?) which roughtly makes for 1000 nz dollars, which, interestingly enough was the starting price of ps2 here, and they sold like hotcakes
oh and thanks for correcting me raddy, but i dont think the order they came out in affected it,sega just wasnt up to it anymore
Thats right, the "Lightgun" is making a return aswell as a sequel to "Duck Hunt".
I was reading all these "hands-on" previews at IGN and it seems the Wii remote is really taking over, they praised the wii remote with its use in Madden 07 "We can't express enough how much fun the control scheme was".
Then you have Sonic, Super Smash Bros. Brawl(ONLINE!), Metroid Prime 3, Ubisofts "Red Steel", Mario Galaxy, Zelda: TP, Resident Evil (Wii Exclusive) and so so much more and Wii has gained a whole lotta 3rd-party support this time around, From the talk of the Developers, News and Game sites Wii is looking to be the next big thing with a strong lineup of software behind it!
