Yeah, anytime someone makes a Good, different RPG battle system it's a classic. When it's done in klik, it's that much cooler (for us anyway).

how many klik RPG's are there? I have a feeling that the Mini Comp proobably doubled the number of them.

And do keep in mind that I was speaking in a generalized type of way too.

Good idea. If you really want to be sure you should do an RPG using Mode7.

Spiderhead was pretty good indeed, apart from the ugly backgrounds that is.

I don't appreciate that! Mr H who designed the backgrounds has seen this message and he finds what you said OFFENSIVE... oh wait... you are Mr H.

Maybe there should be a GOTM (Game of the Month). Hey, that sounds like Got'em. If we had a GOTM then we could just choose one of those to be the GOTY next year.

Seeing as how I've been a lazy git this whole year, I've released nothing more then a brief one-level engine test for Elf World, so I cannot vote for my own game.

But I'd go with Crystle Towers or Bernard & Hank. But I highly enjoyed Spiderhead...and I made a sprite for Neonair racing, so that makes it rule.

In the Retro section I nominate my Defender game. Its only had 18 downloads due to broken link...fixed now. It features all the sounds and graphics of the original Williams Defender including the fast and furious game play. Try it out. Its well commented so maybe some of the features (like the scanner) could be put into your own TGF games. Its well commented. I did not think I could control so many objects in a TGF game but there it is. If you are not familiar with Defender...try it out.

I think in order for a game to win GotY it has to have won GotW at some point. Doesn't it?

No, because some times there are MORE than one very good game in one week... Like when Andurean cam out: Cloud Kingdom 3 was released too...

Duh, they didn't competite in the same GOTW, DaVince.

How else would they both had won GOTW. Clouds Kingdom was released 2 weeks after Arunderan <_<

But you do have a point there. Imagine if the Spirit Engine (Played now ), Eternal Daughter and Jonny RPG would all had been released the same week

It's like when my SquareRunner lost to Bernard and Hank

Yeah, but logically for a game to be the best game of the year, it would also have to have been the best game in the week it was released. I mean, unless something's changed and years aren't made of weeks anymore.

Not that GOTW is any indication of quality anyway.
