Yeah, I like the idea of the GOTY being an application, to show off the true power of MMF. What were the previous GOTY's anyway?

Inspired by this thread I had an idea and this is what I created,

http://clickawards.erathean.com

The idea is people will nominate games and people and then there will be a vote before the result is announced.

What do people think of it as an idea?

Thanks,

Lewis

@AndyUK - It's got to be made in this year. No previous years allowed.

@Lewis H: Wow, that's cool. You might want to make it a little easier to figure out. I'm not sure I did the Best Community Contributer thing right. Oh well, it's a great idea.

@Evil Kitty: Yes, Arunderan is a great game. I still cannot beleive that anybody could work on a game for almost 3 YEARS and not get completely sick of it. One more thing, work ON youre spelling And capital PRoblems.

2 years ago Klik-Me had a GOTY contest in which The Spirit Engine won. There was supposed to be one last year but not enough people voted (Machines of Destruction would've won if it occurred). I'll try to do something like that for this year's games, except this time both the admins and the members can vote.

Lewis H: why is the deadline for nominating the GOTY before the year ends? Wouldn't it be better to have the deadline be January 1st, 2006 to make sure that all of the games made this year could be nominated?

@RapidFlash: Thats a good idea!

Also if you'd like to help decide who deserves the Click Achievement Award (An award for all round exellence in the community and in coding etc.) please either DC Mail me or contact me via the email on the site.

Thanks,

Lewis

It rekon it would be better to start voting next year, then at least all games would get a fair chance.

At the moment games are only being nominated, at the end of this year the voting will begin (with the 6 most nominated entries from each category) and then around 7 January the results will be announced.

I've never played The Spirit Engine.
I can't even find it under 'top downloads' o_O

It's not the same Spirit Engine as that Klik Academy arcade game, is it?
