When will people learn that the audience goes for non-installers?... It looks good so I'M installing it, but the majority? :/

Installers take like 2 seconds. Really nothing to complain about.

Great game, good atmostphere- I got lost on what to do >_<;

Well. If the game was shit you have to uninstall it, instead of deleting it. I'm pretty OK with them actually...

I could not be arsed reading your story, allthough the bits i read were very well written. The graphics could be better, but still a great game. 4 stars out of 5.

I like the look of this game, very old-school in stylings in a Dos kinda way. However, i'm stuck at the beginning, near that well thing. Help?

one should always just zip their game in a single folder so the downloader must exert the minimal amount of effort to play it. But this looks good enough for me to use that little bit extra energy to play.

"When will people learn that the audience goes for non-installers?... It looks good so I'M installing it, but the majority? :/"

I'm pretty sure people aren't instantly blessed with the knowledge of how many people bitch about installers the second they sign up to TDC.
It's one of those things people like to make a big deal out of nothing

the fact remains however that if you use an installer, less people will play your game.

Wrong. The VAST majority of people (i'm not narrowing this down to TDC BTW... just computer users in general) don't know what a zip file is. An installer is the best way to go in the majority of cases. Although an option is always best IMO.

the fact remains that zatek is the only one who gets mad at people who use installers.

im more tired of the people kicking and screaming that someone used an installer than the people using the installers themselves.

except for THIS GUY!

What bullshit, Cecil.

Firstly, "only one"? I know atleast 2...

Secondly, Zatek didn't "get mad". He just pointed it out as a tip, kinda'.

@Steve Harris: Well, you SHOULD narrow it down to TDC. And here (I'm just guessing now) the majorirty knows what a zip-file is.

Most importantly: Only like 4 out of 12 posts here are about the game.

ON: As someone said, great atmosphere and feel to it. But I'm having a hard time with SOME of the graphics.

I can't see how you can rate this game down for graphics.

I love the atmosphere and graphical style in this game. Well, the overall art design. Really, really cool. And the story is very skillfully written (minus the untranslated parts). I would buy a novel by you.

Only, the engine is not something that warrants for a top score (at last from me). I hope the content that follows after the first chapter won't make me regret this score.

I passed chapter one and so far all is looking awesome.

If anyone is stuck in chapter one, you might be missing a path to another room on one of the upper screens.

The game is saved after each chapter.

And the inane comments never end...

Anyway, completed the game. It was fairly easy, but I guess not too easy. The last level took more tries than I would prefer, but managed to crack it on the end.

I remain on my 4 stars score. A game with great presentation and atmosphere, very nice visuals and music/sound, but somewhat weaker animation. Also, the action part of the game is rather limited.

The story somewhat waters down toward the end (no pun intended), but still remains excellent. I enjoyed playing an untypical hero.

All in all, a rewarding experience.

The graphical style reminds me of old FMV-games from days of yore. That's both good and bad.

only thing bad about the graphics are some of the animations, but the rest of it is fantastic.

Well, I think the gameplay is solid at least. Its action part is quite limited, but still requires thinking and minimum tactics. The puzzle/adventure part of the game is quite good, by my opinion. Especially in the last level. The game kinda reminds me of Shadow of the Beast III. At least its puzzle aspect and graphical design.

But I guess it's a thing of being hooked by the game or not. For me, the story and the atmosphere was an instant hook, and I would complete this even if it featured much weaker gameplay (which is not the case).

good luck in next weeks gotw! graphics are awesome, but I was a little turned off by the gameplay

I completely agree with Dazdarian: what an incredible nice dark atmosphere and I too found it great to play this kind of anti-hero.
It is true that the animation is rather simplisticly performed. However, for me this did not limit the gameplay in any way. I especially liked the puzzles, as they were not too hard (i hate being stuck!) Anyway, excellent game, 5 stars!

This was quite an interesting game I thought, I was a little stumped at the first 'chapter' for a bit but when I finally got past that I was able to finish the game. Interesting story, graphics weren't too bad, I thought there was quite a bit of back tracking to do stuff but was laid out pretty good.
