Bomb Squad - Prototype

A little experimental game I made. Only took a few hours, it's mostly a working concept game. Sort of a prototype. The gameplay is pretty classic: Top-down shooter, arrow keys to move, Button 1 (Shift) to Activate things, Button 2 (Ctrl) to fire your handgun.

Your task is to locate all of the bombs stashed in the warehouse and defuse them before they detonate. You have three minutes to reach them all, and there is a large number of obsticles in your way. Laser gates rip you to shreds, forklifts squish you and terrorists take shots at you. You'll have to rely more on location and surrondings then your weapon, because that little handgun doesn't pack much punch.

When you locate the bombs, make sure you hold the ACTIVATE key. Once the target ring disappears completely, the bomb is disarmed. Not a moment before. If you release ACTIVATE before you finish, you have to start over on defusing that bomb.

Most importantly, read the instructions in the game.

This is quite fun, though the graphics are absolutely tiny - it makes the game look rather confusing.

Nice concept! I'd like you to keep going with this, but I must agree with wong that the graphics are too small. Looking forwared to play the full version!

Yeah, I just slapped it together to get an idea on the gameplay. I'll go ahead and start planning a full version - I'll use larger graphics and put scrolling in (Ray's smooth scrolling tutorial rules) and put together a bunch of features.
