When I first read the info on this game and read "Original Mario Bros. for NES" I instantly thought of Super Mario Bros... which I believe is the original NES Mario Brothers game... I know that Mario Bros itself was released for arcades long before SMB, but whatever. I went into this game with high hopes, thinking Yair Charutz (who just delivered Eagle Hunt, a game I enjoyed), and thinking about SMB.

Now, my expectations were not realized, but it's not Yair's fault. However, when I sat back and played it as a Mario Bros clone, I did start to like it. My only gripe is the control... it's much too loose, as Nobuyuki said in his review, it feels like you are slipping on Ice permanently... the game Mario Bros didn't have this loose control.

Presentation
A good little intro, with a simple but nice menu screen. The graphics are just like most of Yair's and the music is good, but not anything that really stands out. Good all around.

Gameplay
The game is fun to play, but in small doses. You can't play it very long, and the control isn't too good sometimes. Other than those, it plays very well.

Lastability
This is a game like any classic Nibbles clone. You'll play it every now and then, only playing it for 5-10 minutes at a time, but you still will play it. It's a good time killer.

Overall
Overall it is a pretty good game. Above average, and definately full of nostalgia.

Worth the download.
