13.2MB?! That, I'm sure I don't need to tell you, is rather large. And 1.5MB of that is just from one MOD file.

After an intro and title screen that was rather reminiscent of Butterfly 660, the menu opens - it's an amalgamation of text, 3D rendering and sprite artistry. While none of the three graphical styles are bad on their own, they really don't fit very well. Ignoring the "for losers" option, I pressed on to the game.

I'm sure I had that "7heaven.mod" in-game music in my Megazeux directory years ago (the phase when I thought I was actually rather good at it). Instantly pressing Ctrl to shoot a nasty-looking... er... flower... in front of me, the plant's dying sequence nearly made me laugh out loud. Maybe I'm just a maniac. I have to say at this point that the graphics and animation aren't amongst the best I've seen - particularly on the main character, who you'll be looking at for the entire game anyway.

It's about halfway through the first level that things start getting interesting, as you pick up a sub-machine gun. Not that that in itself makes a game, but up till then it's rather standard Click platform stuff - the addition of multiple weapons is a nice touch. Also, the variety of enemies that you face is impressive.

There really could have been more effort put in to a couple of things, though... the health counter is just in the standard Click counter font, and the movement doesn't use a custom engine (though to be honest I'm still trying to work out how to do one of those).

Even though it lacks professionalism, though, it's obvious that a lot of effort has gone in to this game. It's fairly large (in gameplay as well as filesize, you'll be pleased to hear) so it's well worth downloading if you have a fast connection. Like mine. Gyah hah.
