Two word review: dirty shame

It is thanks to Natomic that I discovered the Daily Click. Everyone kept telling me that the DC was the place where the most "creative" gamers went, and I agree. This is an old Natomic game, and there is stark contrast to other games here. This game is the most brilliant example of what goes wrong when you leave your originality behind. It is the difference between night and day, a natomic game like this, and the best of the Daily Click.

Ladies and gentlemen, when Natomic asks you to join their ranks, its because your skills have grown, and your ideas have lost all of their sparkle.

Pac man worlds is an extraordinary game to look at. It's visuals are very well done, and it looks like a lot of time has been put into them. Beyond that, what a waste of time and effort.

The reason it fails to achieve greatness is because the creator has some skill, but not much else. I could compare it to "Battlefield Earth", the $100 million movie that had all the right looks, but fell victim to poor judgment and lack of creativity. Why not make something original? Why not make something that has never been done before? Usually the answer is because the creator lacks that aspect of the creative process. This would make him good as a part of the team, but should never be team leader.

This game does not have near the replay value that it should have. It's very similar to Sideswipe in that it looks nice, but has almost zero depth and honestly, it's just silly to have spent so much time for something like this. I've already played some newbie games that have had better replay value than Pac Man Worlds, because when you get past the upgrades, it's still pac man. Who cares how smart the ghosts are? Try installing some AI into your creative process first.

With some more practice and a some creative luck, the creator of this game might have a real future. But he might have some catching up to do.
