Coding
Coding Leader
Responsibilities include coordinating programming efforts for the game. This will require the Coding Leader to have knowledge of platform engines, menus, HUDs, and other such things as required for the game. The Coding Leader will not necessarily have to code everything, but will have to code some things, and decide what other members will code what. The Coding Leader will also have to lead and moderate discussion on what features are to be coded and how to code them.
Coders
Responsibilities include coding and collaborating on the various aspects of the game, include the player engine, enemies, AI, presentational elements, etc. Should one be able to code a level editor, this should be done as well.
Design
Design Leader: Smirnoff (Skype name: matt.smirnoff)
Responsibilities include leading discussion of different design elements and making decisions on critical design elements and story elements. The Design Leader will also be required to coordinate efforts in graphics, sound, and music, so that they all fit the game style and story theme and mood.
Designers: Matthew Wiese
Work closely with the Design Leader in making design decisions and discussing design elements, including graphical and musical styles, appropriate sound effects, etc.
Graphics
Graphics Leader
Will be selected based on ability to create graphics that match the game design. Once said graphics are created, the Graphics Leader will create a style guide, on which all graphics are to be based, and which others will be able to use to contribute graphics to the project. The Graphics Leader will critique WIP graphics as well as work on his or her own graphics for the project. The Graphics Leader will approve graphics made by other project members.
Artists
Will draw graphics based on the style established by the Graphics Leader, to be critiqued and possibly accepted by the Graphics Leader. May also provide concept art for game elements.
Music
Music Leader
To be selected based on ability to compose quality pieces. Will make decisions on musical style including providing instruments to be used by other composers, critiquing composer pieces, approving composer pieces, and composing pieces his/herself.
Composers
Compose pieces of music for the game based on the style established by the Music Leader. Will have pieces critiqued and possibly accepted by the Music Leader.
Sound
Sound Leader
Organizes efforts in collecting and making sound effects for the game. May make sound effects his/herself, and will approve sound effects contributed by other project members.
Sound Effects Persons
Will create or otherwise obtain sound effects that are appropriate for and legal to use in the project. Will have contributions approved by Sound Leader.
I would like to apply for story writing and sound collection.
Resume'
Writing
I have at least two novels half written. The first involves humans attempting to blow up an astroid. The second involves a race of humanoid dinosaurs based on the story of a single individual. The lead character has a hard life, gets targeted for assasination, goes on the run, finds a hidden country of forgotten refugees in the middle of a war. The story switches to an winged alien slave serving his overlord masters. Over time, he learns of his creation, attempts to integrate his race into society and is blatantly rejected. He eventually escapes and makes his way to earth. There is a lot more to the story about the intertwining narratives of the two characters. With the lead dinosaur eventually helping to free the aliens race from slavery. If needed, I will impart a bit more. I also am working on a short story/song collection book.
Sounds
I like to use Sfxr alot. I also know where to get some good sounds. I also have (i think) a collection on my laptop that should prove useful. I have at least 3 games and I'm pretty sure that each of them have sound for one or all functions. I also have a mike and am not above collecting my own.
Please let me know if I qualify for one or both of these posts.
All platforming problems can be mostly solved here:
I wouldn't mind tackling the animations. All I need is a referance image with the style of the game and we're good, I can essentially finish all the animations for the game within a few days.
Also, I wouldn't mind working on the design team, and if needed I can help write guitar bass and percussion sections with the music.

I would LOVE to sign up for graphics.I mean, I'm jus' dying too.(is it to, two, or too?)
as for graphics of my own,
I've got a deviantart, and you can check me out on
MFM.
Wow ok well reading through this and there does not seem to be any applying for the tricky and tedious job of coding. So i would like to throw my name in the hat to be a coder.
I have about 4 years of expirence using Mmf2 and I am fairly confident in my abilities I have worked and helped code games and apps but nothing on a big scale projects, yet. Also I have wanted to get more involve with TDC comunity and what better way to do that then with the APP I don't really have much in the way of examples but I do really want to help contribute as much as possible to an awesome project like this.
However I should note that I do know how to code anything that is list up in Jon's first post. (ex. HUD, menus, enemies, etc. )

I'd also like to apply for a coding position. I've not got any big projects to my name, although there are plenty of little examples that I haven't put up on here. I've been using MMF2 for a number of years and I consider my self a perfectly apt programmer. I recently created a roguelike dungeon generator (available for download here) and have programmed a multi-layer level editor, including completely custom enemies using external files (think much simpler versions of the bots in Cortex Command).
Anyway take me into consideration, I'd love to be a part of a large-scale team project instead of slaving away on my own for a change!
There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Good Lord. I finally find a download, and it takes hours!
what is the world coming to.
(also,am I obliged to use a camera? cuz I don't have one (one that works, anyway)
and I would prefer to keep my Identity safe for as long as possible.)
thank you.
Please, everyone already knows you're the kentucky chicken crusher.
