I haven't planned on making it huge, and I want it all in one frame, since that made Plasma Warrior so easy to get done. I also have a great random spawning system for this, so I don't have to worry much about enemy placement! Just a few set ones here and there, and things like turrets and obstacle blocks. The way I make the game world should compliment the spawning system really well, too.
I'm open to any suggestions on the level design/layout, since it's not really set in stone yet.
I concur. I enjoyed Plasma Warrior very much so, and getting things done should take priority over making them too overtly large. Seems like it's going well so far!
Thanks guys! I'm making a fair bit of progress, and I have tiles for a new area. Also got the core of a menu done, just needs graphical work and a decided title! Still not sure about Pike Warrior.
This is looking awesome so far. The engine looks very slick, and the graphics are nice (if a bit sparse at the moment). The random spawning also sounds promising.
I hope you do spend a little longer on the level design though - Plasma Warrior is one of my all-time favourite click games, but my only criticism of it was that it was too short.
