Starting over
Posted 21st Jun 10, by Lazernaut
I don't really want to spend the money on MMF on a hobby project. Because of that I've started over.

This time I'm using a program called Construct (I'm sure most of you are familiar with that).

So far I've programmed these things:

- Routine to easily start the level over (useful for when the game starts, right after the player dies etc.)

- After the above routine has finished, the player gains control of the spaceship and can move back and forth.

- Stars that scroll across the screen in varying speeds.

Using a different program than I normally do takes some getting used to, but it's coming along nicely already.

That is a very wise choice. I've never regretted switching to Construct.

So far my experience with it is very good. With Construct being so powerful and easy to use I can't really justify it if I go and spend money on MMF.

I guess, right now at least, it pretty much comes down to which features you want (since currently MMF exports to Flash and such - this could change though with Construct being open source).
