Quick Update
Posted 21st May 09, by [EclektiK]
So I've been working on the Chat Window, because it had a big bug with its own scrolling. Now it's fixed, Yay! I changed the HUD a little, but I haven't included the pointing system yet. I mean it's not even a tenth of the final product lol. The "map" is different, I wanted to test the ricochet grenades. They're really fun! I used KlikFarm's OINC server, its was a little laggy because it is used alot. The most recent build is the build 0.0.0.5. Medikit, grenade box, different controls. I changed it to "R" to reload, Spacebar to open chat window and Right Click to shoot grenade, ricochet grenade that is. If you hold Right Click it'll shot the possible trajectory, then release it and BOOM!

Here's a little gamplay video from the 0.0.0.5 build:

Overview:
New Controls
MediKit and Grenade Box
Different HUD
New Chat System
"/kill" make you commit suicide (just for fun I guess...)
Shows who you killed/who killed you
Mouse over Players shows their name

It looks good overall, but for my honest opinions:

- The chat takes your eye from the game when inputting, try the counter-strike style to make it better perhaps? :S

- The gfx should be improved or maybe turned into 2d top down style.

- The hud could be made smaller I guess, cause it also sometimes gets in the way of the visual.

These are only my opinions, feel free to not take them into consideration

Thanks for the feedback!

yeah none of the GFX is "official", and I'll see what I can do for the chat system and HUD!
