Fixed the SideWall Jump Glitches!
Posted 20th Jun 09, by MBK
Turns out that I was overcomplicating things again.
The glitches are gone and I'm ready to add some more stuff!

I'm thinking Slopes ... is it possible that I could make slopes in 2.5d? O.o .. well, to be honest, I've never even made slopes in a regular 2d game yet.

So that means I've got to test to see if I can make slopes in a regular platformer first. This will bring the project to a bit of a slow-down, but I guess I should let some others hang out at the top of the project list for awhile anyway ...

If you want the non-glitched version, you'll need to special request it from me, (pm me), or just wait it out.
I want to add some more stuff to the code before uploading again, and that may be awhile since I need to research some things first.

Looks like you are making a lot of steady progress on this, so good on you.

"good on you" .. umm what?

"Good for you" I think ?

"Good for you" is usually used with sarcastic tones or with inflections of jealousy, annoyance, or disinterest in the U.S. (at least in the area where I live) ... but I doubt that's how he meant it.

Anyway guys, I'm sorta stuck on what to do next. I really want to make slopes in it, but have no idea where to start at. For now I'm going to take some time off from the project to attempt making slopes in a regular 2d platformer, then I'll want to look at how others have tackled slopes to see what works best, then the fun part will be finding a way to incorporate it into the current 2.5d code, if I can even do so.
