Vila Tartaruga!

This is Geronimo's hometown under construction!

New trees, background, and plants all make Vila Tartaruga the perfect holiday destination!

This lady is the first of a number of computer-controlled tortoises you will encounter (nb: A computerised tortoise is technically a Tortoid. That's just given me an AMAZING idea for some enemies...).

She hand-ploughs her little field and returns to throw the contents into that tub on the right hand side. Other tortoids will be seen eventually, fishing, washing, etc.

With beautiful views, the village watch tower is the best place to see the sights!

Yeah... so anyway...

Love the backgrounds and the great view you get from climbing high - is it parallax layers, sir?

Yup, tis indeed. And a nice Incan Legend tune playing!

I'd post it up as another demo, but it doesn't really have any gameplay; cos this level is the introduction, he's supposed to get familiar with the world, whilst setting the tone for the rest of the game.

The perfect demo then, in my eyes! Looking forward to seeing it moving

The trunks on the trees look weird. They don't seem to have roots, and the widths aren't proportional to the size of the tree.

Are there going to be any stones in the level?

possibly not, at least not until you've been through the training level and the clock has landed. I'll probably have the stones available as rubble from the impact.
