Project Overview
If the sight of ripped graphics gives you nightmares of DC being overrun by fangames, then pretend this 'unholy' preview never existed in the first place =P. The rest of you, read on. The story (not to be taken seriously) is as follows:

Sonic, always looking for an excuse to keep away from Amy, decides to take an 'extended' vacation with Tails and Knuckles. Robotnik notices the absense of Sonic and co. and sees that this is the perfect time to set his plan into motion - mutating various lesser animals to do his own bidding.

However...he forgot to account for one tiny detail. Amy notices the sudden change in the animals in a close encounter and sees an opportunity to prove herself. She decides to resolve the situation on her own in a somewhat narrow-minded way - by taking a mallet to anything that moves =P. Look out, Robotnik - here comes a one girl army...

You take control of Amy (Don't worry if you have no idea who the charcter is - it's hardly important to the gameplay) in a side-scrolling beat-em-up, not dissimilar to Streets of Rage or other 'oldskool' fighters. In each stage, your task is to take out the 'leaders' one at a time. Each one effectively controls a wave of enemies. Defeating these 'minions' along the way actually weakens the leader, so it is to your advantage to fight them first.

At the beginning of the game, Amy starts off with a couple of special moves. As you progress through the stages, you can learn several more, including a few upgrades. On top of this, you can also make use of a Fury attack to turn the tables against the enemy - think 'Musou' in Dynasty Warriors and you'll get the idea. Combination attacks (stringing basic moves and multiple specials together) are not only encouraged, but practically essential later on.

Right, I've waffled on for quite enough, so I'll wrap up the remaining details now. The full game will have four stages, broken up into two parts each. At the end of each stage there is an 'action scene' (read; minigame) or boss battle to break up the action.

You can download a video of the game here - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/christopher.lowe7/ogavid.zip

By yours truly =P (showing some of stage 2-2). The 1 week release date is pretty definite, as all four stages have been completed (just one boss and a bit of tidying up).
