Project Overview
Ok, I guess a lot of people will literaly puke right where they're sitting just reading the title. But meh!

Anyways. Yes I'm doing a Rockman (Mega Man) game, but I wouldn't go as far and calling it a mere fan-game like so many others. I want to break the mould this time, and I think I'm going to be succesful. Personally I'd say that this is more of a tribute game. But you call it whatever you want, I don't care.

"So there'll be just another game with Megaman." you think. Wrong! I've come up with an entirelly new character for the game: Nexus. Which I can tell you is created and designed by ME and is therefore not Capcoms property, all the other stuff is.

I haven't jotted out the entire storyline yet but I can say that it's set inbetween the Rockman X and Zero series.
And instead of running on the "save the world" theme there'll be a more relationship driven game as an attempt on making the Reploids seem more like individuals.

Nexus will be able to do the stuff you normally do in Rockman games, namelly run, jump and dash/slide. (I'm not sure if I can make the walljumping that I love so much work though.) Well what's different this time is that there'll be no Buster (the shooting thingie) available whatsoever, except for some unlockable techniques and the ones the enemies use that is. Nexus will be happily delivering knucklesandwiches and suckerpunches close-up instead of shooting from a comfortable distance. That is what I like about the RM: Zero series so much. If I make it so that you can punch and kick we'll have to see.

I'm limiting myself to 6 bosses, and here's the reason I tend to call it a "tribute game". I've taken the liberty of taking two of my favourite bosses from each of the three original Rockman games, re-designing them and giving them new names. They are the following:

Ice Man --> Snow Vixen (Note: It's a female now)

Cut Man --> Sharp Scythe

Metal Man --> Metal Malice (Note: It's really hard finding a substitute for "metal")

Heat Man --> Flame Scorcher

Snake Man --> Scale Wyrm

Spark Man --> Shock Lord (or maybe Lord Schock, haven't relly decided)

If you like these new names and re-designs that's entirelly up to you. And if you actually don't like it. Please keep it to yourself because I won't listen to flamers spamming me about what I should and should not do.

Since I suck att composing music I'll be using MIDIs of game music instead. But instead of just using standard MIDIs sounding exactly like the originals I'm using remixes instead. Which I find fitting since the bosses themselves has their standard qualities left and only got a new appearences... and background stories and techniques...

Let's just leave it at that.

I'll make the graphics myself, which will take a really long time so maybe the game will be done later than it sais on the "release date" But hey! I'm a student, I don't have all the time in the world do I? I sure wish I had!

Many people gnarls at those who doesn't have screenshots showing up their work so far. Well, I don't have a decent screenshot either. I'm just going through the preparation state of the process. Which is coming up with everything that's gonna be in the game. But what I do have is some artwork. So that'll maybe ease it up a little.

Nexus, the main character.

His main color is green. After I decided that I realised one thing. Zero is Red, Nexus is Green and X is Blue. RGB! Just a lame thought I came up with!

Metal Malice, the former Metal Man

Metal Man is by far my absolute favourite bos in the entire series. He's just so darn cool. But not cooler than Zero.

Snow Vixen, Her right hand looks really weird and I haven't got to fixing it yet!

And I also gave Rockman a nice makeover, since I'm planning on having him featuring as a boss (as he goes nuts in RM: Zero)

Well that's all I can think of that I want to say aboute the Rockman Nexus project. See ya!
