Project Overview

A real gravitorb killer finally on its way
This game was quite clearly inspired by Duncan's Gravitorb games, I played Gravitorb 2 and noticed the really weird gravity engine. I see people who speak of it as though it was sent down from heaven, but it really did lack a real gravity feeling. That's when I started on this game.

No, this game does not feature 70+ levels, or even a level editor. It's more of an adventure game with a real plot and differing gameplay through the game. The basic plot is that you wake up in a prison cell somewhere with amnesia (I know it's lame, but at least it's a plot, right), you somehow get out of the cell only to find out your'e trapped on a big alien spaceship. You sneak around and find the hangar where you run for a nearby ship, this is where the adventure begins. Find out who you are, where you live, and get there!

The gameplay is similar to that of Gravitorb. Grab a few items, kill a few enemies, don't crash, land safely and get to the next level. Some levels will have "missions" such as timelimits, being chased by explosions or doing stunts. Levels can be big or small, scrolling or not, depending on the level. Cutscenes tells you what's going on and keeps you updated on the plot.

Game features
- Varying "missions" on different levels
- Great plot that keeps you playing
- Amazing gravity engine
- A nice weird mood backed up by psycadelic soundtrack
- Enemies and powerups
- A cool retro feel

Progress
Well, I must say that I have done the hard part so far. I have a great engine, now I must only bring it to life and weave it together with the plot. 25-30% of the game is finished this far I'd say. Expect a month or two before the release. The screenies below doesn't bring this game justice, it's ugly. It is the gameplay that makes this game a masterpiece.

Final words
Expect the best game of 2003, well, one of the best at least. If you liked gravitorb, you'll love this.

PS. I'll let you in on a little secret. If your'e all really nice and everything goes as planned, I will include a multiplayer option. So stay tuned...
