This will be my first attempt at an RPG, so let's see how it turns out.
In a far away land, there exists a kingdom called Damonia. In it, lives a king known an King Dederic, and his beautiful daughter, Princess Amelia. She is desperate into wanting to marry a special someone, so when the news broke on the other side of the land, an evil wizard named Karlov hears about the princess wanting to get married. Karlov plans to capture the princess, and bring her back to his lair so he ends up marrying her. It is now up to Knight Richard to travel across the land to Karlov's lair, and rescue the princess.
Throughout the game, you will fight all kinds of monsters in a turn based RPG battle system. Defeat enemies, level up your stats, buy items and equipment, everything you need to progress further to reach Karlov's lair.

Hey guys! I've got some more progress on the game to show y'all!
As you can see on the included screenies, I have been working on a desert area that will be part of the third section of the game after the second boss. I made a field area, a town with a palace in it, a valley, and I'm currently working on a temple where the section's climax will occur.
Aside from that, I've also worked on fixing a few things that I missed in the demo which will be patched up for the full release, and I've also added a few more features which will be accessible via this newly added third section. One of these features includes a magic system, or a Spirit Points system as I call it. Similar to games like the original Paper Mario on N64, I've added the ability to use these Spirit Points (SP) for more action commands such as better healing or powerful attacks, and these will come in handy and will probably make the game less tedious to some people. You will even unlock more of these commands as you progress through the game, but can only be unlocked via hidden secrets, although you will start with 3 commands once you unlock the SP system.
That is really all I have for the game so far, and this all took me these last three months to make, while having school and work at the same time. Also, I am currently in Los Angeles with my girlfriend for Spring Break, but I still tried my best to share some progress on the game via my laptop. I wanted to do it before our trip, but I ran out of time, so here it is! lol
But overall, I think it's all coming together very well, and I can't wait to share more of it. This has been a huge personal project for me, and I never thought I would make something like this. It may not seem perfect, but it's something I wanted to make for a long time ever since I started getting into game making, and I'm just happy it's getting this much attention, even for a simple and basic freeware RPG title. Thank you so much, and I'll see ya next time!
I haven't done a new devlog on this game in 4 months now. Well I'm happy to announce that now that I have finished my small project that took a couple months to make, surprisingly (school, that's why...), I can now return to this game and complete it all the way through.
I'd like to thank my girlfriend who helped me with Ninja Force, and I'll be proud of having her help me more with Knight's Quest RPG.
I have a lot planned for the full release, and I can't wait to get to them as soon as possible, and since I'll be going on winter break soon, I'll have plenty of time to do so.
How was the demo for y'all? I hope y'all are enjoying it!
But anyways, now that the demo is done, I wanted to make this announcement to y'all know that I'm actually gonna take a break from this game for a while. I've been working on it for about a year by now, and I feel like I should do something else in the meantime. Therefore, I am currently working on a little side project that I've somewhat started a while ago. I won't say what it is yet because I want it to be a surprise, but I can tell ya that it won't be a long game, it'll just be a short experience as a way to relax from working on Knight's Quest RPG, so stay tuned for it!
Other than that, once I finish that little project, I will go ahead and move back into working on Knight's Quest RPG, and work my way through the full release.
That's all for now! Stay tuned for more updates, and I'll see ya soon!
Alright everyone! I'm happy to announce that the demo for the game is now officially released to the public. Sorry it took so long, but here it is! I hope y'all enjoy it. Let me know if you find anything wrong with it so that I can fix, and also some feedback would be greatly appreciated as I move forward with the full game. Enjoy!!!
