Project Overview
Preview NOTE: This game is being developed out in the open so that those of you who are interested, can see the game from its earliest, raw, state to completion.

It Never Ends is the new 2D space shooter game that I’m developing for the iPhone/iPod. This should sum it up:

Fight ten alien waves.

Learn their movements, strengths and weaknesses as you fight.

Destroy what you can.

Gather the pieces, change your strategy, and invest in your technologies.

Fight the next ten waves (which may be different than before).

You need to re-learn their movements, strengths and weaknesses as you fight.

Destroy what you can.

Gather the pieces, change your strategy, and invest in your technologies.

Repeat…. It Never Ends.

Inspired by space shooter games of the eighties, It Never Ends combines old school, waves of alien-shoot’em up fun with mutating enemies. Just when you think you have the enemy movements and abilities under control, they change things up on you. If you blast all ten waves of enemies to pieces unscathed, the enemy will do a complete redesign of their ships and strategy. If you barely got out alive, they may make a change here and there, but their design will be mostly the same.

It doesn’t end there. By scavenging resources from the alien wreckage, you can repair and modify your ship to respond to their mutation. Of course, that will force them to mutate again, which will force you to change again…. It Never Ends.
