Hi again! My final exams are getting closer and closer, in few days I should have enough time to work on "The Expanse".

I've decided that the key to pass those exams is reduce stress... So I've decided to take a break for a weekend and work on The Expanse.

In past few days, I've made a huge progress in this project. Further optimization has been done today and game appears to be playable on my computer, even with Windows 7 on-board (It's an old Pentium III PC). Only things that remains to be transfered to external file, is warp flash animation and language files.

There are some bugs left to be fixed in external maps system (for example - hardpoints appears to be nonfunctional), and there is plenty of room for extending and innovating current elements, for example - more modes of map objects, some player objective system etc.

Of course, I'll keep you posted on recent updates, and I think I'm getting closer to alpha stage.

I had to add loading screen, I hope you don't mind.

This is looking very nice! Are you making it HWA?

Love the initiative to make a Star Trek game! The world needs some good ST games. I'm personally a hugh fan of ST, I've been listening to "The Picard Song" on repeat for the last ~1,5h. It's really quite hypnotic-notic-notic-notic.

No HWA, I've heard that there are no much extensions ported to HWA. But my Tualatin PC is able to handle it, so there shouldn't be any problems with performance anyway.

Really? The gfx are so nice that I assumed you were using some pixel shaders. But hey, there you go!

Looking forward to this!
