Game Engine Revamp
Posted 3rd Sep 09, by J. Willis
So I've been working on the game engine for almost a week now and I'm not pleased.I didn't expect this to be easy as this is my first real game in MMF2 so I'm actually just getting use to the interface and commands. The thing is once I'm finished with the game engine I'll be like 80% done with the game because all I would need to do after that is complete the level using the debug room as a base. Of course this debug room is where I'm designing the game engine. So I've decided to scrap all the code/events and start from jump street. Below is a screenie of the debug room as it is now and later on it may be turned into a mission and become an easter egg. Preview

Oh, believe me, completing the engine is _NOT_ like 80% of your game. If you want your game to be decent, consider it more like 8%.

Hmmm, i'd say more like 20-30%, but i see your point. I love the character sprite, BTW - what a great pose!

I know right. Excellent games...I'm a semi-big fan of it and when I had the idea for the game I thought the style of sprites they use would be perfect for this game
