GOTW - Suspended!

Because of the lack of klik-based completed submissions this week, GOTW will be carried over to Christmas Day. So you can still vote for the four games in the poll for seven more days. There was only one game submitted this week that would qualify for GOTW, and that would have been Teacher Boxing. Hopefully on Christmas Day there'll be more candidates, and Teacher Boxing will be added then ;)

I think this is the first time that GOTW has ever been carried over to the next week. As Tigerworks might say... OMG WFT TEH COMMUNITEH IS DYING!!!11!!!

I second that. Before since it wasn't script based and if I remember correcly you needed ftp acess, it could easily take two weeks before an admin fixed it.

This used to happen quite often a long time ago, seems things have gotten back on track, we just have a little slip here. Just wait 1 more week for Uh: Combat Unevolved, to kick all the other games. :-P

Well i hope that the next GOTW will include teacher boxing and the death metal song name generator,as in very recent times you have included such things into the game of the week,and you wouldnt like it to seem as if you were oppressing anyone now would you and if it isnt included i suggest the new feature to be CIRCY'S CONTRADICTIONS in this feature you could find(very easily)enough to load the main page with hilarous quotes,and everyone would enjoy it alot.

The Death Metal Song Name Generator wont be running for GOTW, as it was at TDC before. Besides, this is Hamish we're talking about, and I don't think he'd care. No new features for the time being either.

Well I think that games that are coded should still be in the GOTW poll, because if we allow games on DC, they should be in the GOTW poll, its not like its the KGOTW (Klik Game Of The Week

Bah, not this again :P People who code have a significant advantage over others. Take Powerpaint, for instance. Probably only a very select handful (and I'm talking using one hand with three fingers chopped off) can achieve the same results with klik products through much harder work. Yes, in due time everyone has the ability to learn c++ or Basic or whatever and maybe learn to do stuff like that. But at the moment, the majority of games are klik games, and thats the way the poll will stay, to give a chance to those who don't use non-klik products.

By that logic, all skilled people are out of the running. Also, you put the same game in the running for GOTW twice, for reasons that it "deserves another chance" and yet it won both times! Stunning brilliance from the mind of Sir Key! Put DeathMetalSongNameGenerator in the running for GOTW or be exposed for the biased criminal you really are!

Well your right about the fact that you have more power & a more advantiage over others if you code a game rather then make it in MMF, but to be honest, its not like they dont have the ability to go & learn to make a game in code like you said, so we should still be able to be in the GOTW, that or just have 2 polls, 1 for klik games, & 1 for any other games made. That way its a fair battle. No sence being trimmed off of nearly everything at DC, just because we decide to just to the next best thing! :-P

Er, isn't this place called the Daily CLICK? If you want your coded game to win an award, go submit it at a community site for that product. That the admins allow you to post non-click games here is already enough lienancy. Be thankful for that.
