Klik Disc Ships Out
News posted 3rd December, 2002 by ShadowCaster
That's right, the latest "Klik Disc" is shipping out, and thanks to Clickteam one lucky buyer will receive a Clickteam t-shirt if you purchase between now and the new year. Sound cool?

Klik Disc is a semi-monthly CD containing games, previews, reviews, examples, tutorials, graphics, sounds and much more! For what's in store for this months issue you can check out the Klik Disc website here, and for only $8 USD, with shipping to anywhere in the world, what excuse do you have?

Comments From Jeff (Clickteam):
One lucky Klik-Disc buyer wins!
A Clickteam 2002 Convention shirt!
100% free - no shipping, no nothing it will be shipped to you 100% free.

I have one left here I just discovered it was still in my laptop bag last month. No choice of colors or size but its a Black Large, brand new never worn and 100% cool :D

Moderators on the Clickteam forums or employees of Clickteam or connected to the Klik-Disc can not win. This contest is only for people who purchase a Klik -Disc.

Good luck and you need to complete your purchase by 12/31/2002. After that its way too late for the shirt but you still get the disc.

There's someone who takes other people's games you can get for free and that may not be sold - and he just sells them? Sorry, but I doubt I will support this.

Did this guy have the permission from the authors for putting their games(or any materials) in this disc and sell it?

Can you read? "Of course, KlikDisc is the Klik Community. For and by the Klikers of the world. If you wish to share your latest Game. Or have a Preview/Review to submit then please do!"

that's on the right side of the KlikDisc site.

Lol, it is compatible with PayPal anyway :D I've bought myself a copy, and got the first one free at the convention. It's very good.

Yes you can use Paypal, Yes I always get permission to PROMOTE your softwares and Sites, Jannis, Scaneider should I have to pay for all the cost to produce and mail out the discs? As i have mentioned (Kisguri Sighs) time and time again, Sometimes I have up to a whole dollar left after a order is complete, I tried to place the price as low as possible. Any xtra income that has earned has been used for the community, Like last time I donated to this site to keep it running! So the real question is why aren't you supporting this? And for those that are in the form of orders and contibutions thank you for the bottom of my heart. People like these in my opinon are the heart of this community! Who is going to win the shirt HMMM? (By the way Jeff did that on his own accord :) )

I also heard there might be another prize being awarded to a random Klik Disc purchaser this month... I can't say more till the provider of the prize says something :) And I wish some people would learn about Klik-Disc before opening mouth and inserting foot. 1 - All the files on it were submitted to Klik-disc for inclusion. 2 - No one is making any money. If he got paid per hour worked on the disc it would most likely be around 1 cent an hour. The Klik-Disc is really cool. Maybe every issue - Clickteam will find a prize to give out. :) Raking the cash in at 1 cent an hour LOL!

Hmm...$8? No income? No accusations meant but I've seen pirates here selling CDs at less than an equivalent of $1 AND having enough money for regular bribery as well as pay the rent for a store in a shopping mall. Seriously. Of course, I'm not sure of the costs of international shipping. You're probably right about that.

Volume. Klik Disc does not do the same volume as the pirate CD? When your sales numbers go up your cost per unit goes down. Both in duplication and in labor for producing the content.

Posted by Jeff - Clickteam 4th December, 2002

Course pirates have no labor for producing the content. Klik Disc has a nice program organizing the data.

I will post a Demo of the interface shortly, So you can see that I am not "Full of it" :)

Kisguri has done an awesome job with Klik Disc in the past it is freaking awesome. With my new job it's becoming harder to keep up with all the community websites and whos making what cool stuff lately with the Clickteam tools. I like seeing what everyone is up to in one place without having to search for downloads and (those stinking angelfire/yahoo links). I highly recommend this CD to everyone the last one was a blast.
