You have to draw every frame separately. Really, it's not that hard. I use Paint Shot Pro because the layers mean you only have to animate the parts that move rather than the whole thing, but plenty of people do it in the animation editor.

Or use a 3d Render and Animation software ...

You could do a google search for Tutorials . There are some pixeltutorials around. Maybe those guys may help a beginner with pixeling :

http://web1.t43.greatnet.de/

Or this tutorial:

http://tsugumo.swoo.net/tutorial/

There are also lots of Tutorials around rendering and animating in 3D around. But beware when you want to go the 3d way: lots to learn before you receive the first good results . On the other hand: i prefer the 3d way

By the way: making graphics is the most timeconsuming part when making a game . And there is no easy way , no matter what way or tool you use . The tool to create your graphics is called brain . Never heard of a downloadplace for that ...

that usually look cheap, so it is better to draw the whole sprite.

I don't think you understand. I use layers so that the parts of the character that aren't moving are out of my way. The end result doesn't look any different.
