Hi, Im sure you have all noticed the explosion of Bat and ball games over the months :\ THIS MUST STOP NOW! I think action must be taken to remove the threat of having to see another pong game suffer like it has in the hands of a noob.
So I call on you the good people of TDC to BAN BAT AND BALL GAMES forever! It is the only thing we can do to stop this sick twisted genere from affecting our sanity and making the worlds children think that the only way you can play ball is to fire up pong34729847294974839223897428934789 or something! BAN PONG, BAN BREAKOUT, BAN THEM ALL!
well i just ignore them since mostly only newbies make them.
Nothing against newbies or anything but unless they can add the part where you can control the balls direction depending on where it hits the bat then there is no skill involved in play.
mabye i should add a tutorial on this (ripped from a tgf example )
Like Radix said, there's no reason to ban a genre. Breakout is admittedly one of the top games that newcomers to Click try to emulate, without much success as getting it right is more difficult than it looks. However, there are some good ones on the site. I've seen some. At least, I hope I've seen at least one because I made one.
I remember when I made my first pong game. The ball was able to wrap around the left and right sides of the screen!....but it was still pure crap(100% poo made from 100% poopoo)
Why the bat&ball games couldnīt be put
in the retro section?..
Or at least the games which really are
remixes of pong and breakout and other classics like that?

I have made pong game also.
It had two bats and one ball and the player
had to throw the ball on the enemy players side, and
if he didnīt caught it, the player won.
lol, and it even had the same colours as the normal pong ...
