I managed to fix the Windows/System32 thing from poping up by reinstalling windowsxp, but does anyone know how I can avoid pop's that start with "--- -" & only pop up when IE is open. I'm using both Ad-Aware 6 & Spybot, both on the lastest updates & it seems to be destoryed, but then later recreates its self! Nortan just got done removing viruses, but after that, there arent any more viruses on my PC. & nortan was on the lastest update as well.

Please help me before it gets werse, it always does!

Firefox does block every nasty popup, but gives its own popup (XML error or something) when I try to visit TDC

Firefox is stupid. I'd rather use Internet Explorer, & without the fucken popups.

Mozilla has a pretty good pop-up blocker. You could also just download the google toolbar for Internet Explorer. It gets rid of most web-based stuff.

Firefox is a vastly superior browser to Internet Explorer.
In fact, any other browser is vastly superior to Internet Explorer. By using Internet Explorer, you are using the worst browser available to man.
Additionally you can't get spyware or viruses installed just by visiting a web page (IE's security sucks). This is probably why your computer is IMPRESSIVELY farbled up. Seriously, I would have to try really hard to keep my computer infected after an OS reinstall.
Mozilla, Firefox, even the Google toolbar for IE can block popups.

It's true, Firefox pisses all over Internet Explorer, and it's not even finished yet.

The Google Toolbar has a pretty good popup blocker.

Its for IE, and you can get it here: http://toolbar.google.com

Yeah, Mozilla is better. But for some reason I haven't been able to copy and paste when it's open, so I've been using IE .

These arent basic popup's, these are spyware popups & what ever is creating them keeps creating itself when ever I delete it!

Opera's (www.opera.com ) a pretty good browser too (but I prefer FireFox), there's a banner unless you register it though.

firefox maybe be "vastle superior" but it's still full of ridiculous bugs. if you're smart enough to turn off activex in IE then you have nothing to worry about

Just get mozilla Fire fox, it's practically exactly the same as IE but no popups, and then do the occasional scan with Spybot:Search and Destroy followed by Adaware
