I've had 2 pretty decent sites to date which have been quite popular. The first being Gamers Circle www.gamedesigns.co.uk and the other being a Irish Xbox Live Clan www.dcbclan.com which got recognition from Microsoft and is listed here in the fansites section:

www.xbox.com/en-IE/default.htm

I want to start a larger project and thats where I need someone who really knows what they're doing in concerns to web programming. Well heres my idea-

Basically i'm planing in putting together a system whereby anyone else can have their own unique site without the hassle of coding it.
With the aid of a talented web designer I plan to setup so everyone can setup their own site with ease by just simply using a control panel to put together their own site.
That site can be about whatever you want. It could have a section about games and in that you could list games you own, finished, enjoyed, want to review or have a general opinion on. Same goes for music, movies, food, telelevision etc.

You'll be able to setup sections in your site easily and not be limited in anyway other then a having a specific amount of webspace given to you. Every site will then be linked to one central site i.e 'The Hub' which I will create.
In the hub will be the central forum and everyones site is inter-linked to this forum.
Also the hub will contain a form for people to fill in if they wish to become part of the community and get their own site by given a login to the hub's control panel.

I know this sounds like a crazy idea but I would like to see it work. Basically you are your own admin and its up to you whether people take interest in your site.

Ok so your wondering whats in this for you? Well you'll receive your own webspace on the .com i'll get specifically for this and you'll help run the whole thing and gain recognition for doing it.
If your interested in helping then just post here.

btw I'm also on the lookout for a talented graphic artist who would want to design the template scheme for all the sites.

Your site is undescribably gay. You listed a favourite shampoo AND conditioner. What kind of sissy uses conditioner? I don't even know what it does, grow some balls

satansam.co.uk is unusable in Mozilla (obviously you didn't design your site to be cross-browser compatible, so have fun cutting out 10% of your visitors).

Tigs is right, however. Lets say there are 10 Million people using the internet (there are many more of course), youre effectively cutting out 500,000 -> 1Million potential visitors to your site. And if youre offering a geocities-style site, youre gonna have a lot of visitors.

Hmm back on topic a bit.

Anyway need a person who can code the frame work of the site i.e is familar with PHP, MySql and databases in general.
Second thing I need is a person who can put together some really decent graphics/images for the site.

The webspace i'll be getting for this will be very realiable and I can offer a large amount of space to the people that help out i.e 500 mb of it.

Hamish, you're more of a girl than anyone here, especially since you use words like "Sissy".

And learn to spell you illiterate fool.

So if your male and you say the word 'sissy' it automaticly makes you a girl? Maybe at pre-school.
As for the conditioner thing, If you where wondering it keeps your hair silky and smooth.

Sometimes I wonder what the hell is Mozilla doing with a webpage screwing it up so much.

Oh, did you say on topic?

I don't think a webhost's page layout has to be uber-cool in onder to make it a good host.

Don't know what your getting at...

Anyway, I want the layout to look pretty slick and it all to function well.
I'm not prepared to pay anyone to help out. Best I can do is offer webspace on a realible server for the people that help with the design of it.

my tutor asked me once in her half-irish accent "woow how did you get your hair like that" and i just told her. she said the world should know so... i did.

actually Mozilla users account for 5% of the 50,000 visitors ive had since its birth (about a month ago). so im not really fussed. if people wanna go around causing compatability problems for themselves then go ahead. thats just 2500 people. hell theres more people in my village

it says Evolved because its an upgrade too the previous version which was a bit basic really. and Firefox cuz its red and sam looks like a fox. ta da!

yea im sorry Darkman. it is quite SISSY of people to take things off-topic

What I was saying is you don't really need a talented graphic for the template scheme yet.

Try looking on www.phpfreaks.com/forums/ for a coder, some people there will do what you want for free to build up their portfolio.
