I've always had problems with DMC2, I can't think how I got it working in the first place.

dmc2.gox should be in your gfactory directory (if it is .cox, rename it to .gox).
bass.dll goes in to c:\windows\system or the gfactory directory... I think.

You need to have bass.dll into your Windows\System folder (System32 if you use Windows 2000/XP) in order to be able to use DMC2.

Make sure you have a CNC/TGF version (if its cnc, rename to gfdmc2.gox [standard gf extension naming] or dmc2.gox), MMF versions will NOT do anything.

You shouldnt need to put bass.dll in the system folder, put in the directory of your game and the GF directory, especially in distributions - never put the bass.dll in the system as it makes uninstalling for the user easier.
