I was working on a game in MMF for like 3 hours, animations mostly, and then of course the thing gives me an illegal operation. I lost my work(because I hadn't saved), but I was wondering if MMF auto saves like tgf does and if I could possibly recover my work? If I can, how would I go about doing it?

thanks

God i hope it was saved, But i dont use MMF, but if it's more advanced, it should have that feature, have you tried loading MMF up again?

Nope, I'm scared. I wanted to check to see if there was another way before starting over. Since MMF advances over a lot of things in TGF I'm hoping MMF at least kept the save feature.

MMF has an autosave feature which will save your work every now and then in temporary memory. It onoly work if you turn on the autosaving in the preferences menu.

"Real men dont take backup ... they cry alot!"

You should really use the autosave option together with the option to save the game X (I recommend like 3-5) steps back.

Now you have learned the hard way

God even when it does backup save it's lame. It saves once after like ten minutes, thats it. Doesnt matter anymore, I save after every animtaion I complete now.

HAH, that used to happen to me alot, so now I draw everything externally in paint! But TGF has a pretty cool autosave where you can just load an illegal operation straight away. Strange how MMF is different.

TGF's autosave doesn't work for me, so I always have autosave off, and just save it every 5 to 10 seconds.

5-10 seconds o_O. Anyway, don't use the autosave option, it's buggy (I'm not sure how but Clickteam have confirmed it), just use autobackup.

I was joking. Usually I only save after every event/object I create.

Edit: And for Jamagic every few lines of code.
