To make good graphics, youll need potatoes, carrot, onion, and garlic, mix and enjoy...
Seriously, all you need is paint matey. Or you can even use the inbuilt TGF and MMf paints.

If you have left all these "stupid clickteam drag and drop game-makers" then head off to another place to ask them. Go on. Toodle off.

A realy good program is graphicsgale. It's free, But if after thirty days you don't cough up $20 you wont e able to save as gif. This isn't terrible, because you can still save every frame as a .bmp but it's a pain. Gf is still my favorite art program though.

A good idea would be to use a web seach engine or even Google and search for topics and keywords that would find you a good website and message board where people go to talk about pixel art, game design art, and help each other learn and grow their talents. I know of a couple sites that assist in picture art and stuff on computers, but I'd have to ask them if they care for game designers. But once you find a message board where artists gather and show off their stuff and ask for help and critiques, introduce yourself, post up an example of what you've tried to do, and ask about what you can do to improve to get to ultimate professional quality.

Circy, just because he doesn't use Clickteam products anymore, doesn't mean he's not welcome here. After all, this site is for all languages (though it's predominately klik).

Nice little Isometric on:
http://www.pixelfreak.com/tutorial/

Okayish one, doesnt cover too much in-depth stuff but still good:
http://www.natomic.com/hosted/marks/mpat/

This is a site with a few Tutorials of its own + a HUGE list of other Tuts:
http://zoggles.dyndns.org/zoggles/asp/tutorials.asp?show=index
--------------------------------------------
All above sites are quite good, take time to study over them and have a paint tool in hand (preferably MMF/TGF)

No offense to any of you Paint users... but it's pretty obvious that all you use is Paint. In order to achieve anything really good, you're going to need a versitle graphics package. On the cheap (read: free) end, I reccomend The Gimp. If you're willing to shell out a few bucks (or have other means of aquiring said software), you should look into Photoshop tho, as it provides the tools to do just about anything you could ever dream of in 2D.
