Okay, I want to do it in exactly 9 frames, trouble is, I don't even know how a dueling pistol is reloaded.

Isn't that... kinda what he's doing already?

Make it so like the first frame his got his hand like that on the pistol then for frame 2,3,4,5 and 6 he is got it down a little bit but not down too much and make his head move but then for frame 7,8 and 9 he can just finish of the reload. If that doesn't work I guess you could try looking on the internet.

I'm talking dueling pistol guys. You know, those ones where bullets have to be loaded individually? I'm only posting here because I gave up on Google.

okay with an animation speed of 16, what gun can I expect to reload in 9 frames? It must be single shot.

Let's think of a dueling pistol... like in westerns.

First you knock out the spinny bullet thingy. Then you load in a bullet, turn it to the next hole, load in another, and again, and again, until it's full, and then you flip the spinny bullet loader thingy back in and shoot.

Or you can do it the fun way and load just one bullet, spin it around and around until it stops and see if you landed on the bullet when you shoot!

actually dueling pistols were the only gun used in old time duels and took a while to reload so he does have the right gun. id suggest to just make it looking like he is doing stuff but is not really doing much- maybee

Okay, get this, the charactor, is a freaking expert an speed reloading of a pistol. How can I animate this in 9 frames? I could double the speed of the animation and do it in 18 frames maybe.

make the character face a way from the screen and look busy whilst playing some loading noises....and maybe some innuendo!

What, you mean like a revolver? Point the gun up, turn the revolver thingy with your right thumb, grab a bullet (or the whole series of bullets) with your left hand, bring the bullet(s)to the gun while you snap the thing open with your right hand, put the bullet(s) in, then close it and point at your target.

Simple as that. A pro should have no trouble with it. Note: Style used is for right-handers.

If you wanna save animation frames, you can ignore the part where you point the thing up. I just do that to keep the bullets from slipping out.

Never mind, I did it. Though the guy kinda looks like superman in the way he does each step really quick.
