Raptor's great - but of course it is, it's an Apogee game <¦-D

Zero Wing's not just a famous intro, you know. The soundtrack, though Genesis-styled, is one of the best in a game I've ever heard.

There was also a fairly bizarre game called "The Last Eichhof" that I liked - it's a shoot-em-up based around a night's drinking session, where you control a bottle of Eichhof beer and destroy the competing brands. It shouts things at you in German as you progress through the levels. It's quite odd.

R-type 3 ofcourse!

And another game I got a while ago for $20 over registration called
Glory Zone.
Bloddy terrific!! It's like a super improved virsion of Galaga mixed with
space invaders.(needs open GL) I couldn't stop playing it!

And another game called FreeLancer where you customize your craft, take over
planets and all that basic stuff. The size of the planet Australia in it
is depressing. But the game still kicks ass! Now if you excuse me, I got an
american shaped planet I need to take over.

incorperated into a 2d engin perhaps? A good example would be StarControl for
the MegaDrive.
