Some say The Daily Click is a bit bad, their reasons are for example: Kids upload bad games, with no screenshots, and no good description; Dogzer posts stupid things on the articles sections; and that ppl say stupid things on the boards.
Personaly, I dont see anything wront with The Daily Click though, but them who say TDC sucks, shouldn't think that way. So lets think what can we do to improve this.
To the 1st problem, Kids post poorly designed games. I think there should be a Section for well presented games, with proper screenshots and description. Maybe even a even higher class section, where top of the line games can be downloaded.
To the 2nd problem, I think we should all hug dogzer, and give him kisses. He is a good guy in his heart.
To the 3rd problem, and for the ppl posting stupid girl posts on the boards and stuff, thats just how 10year old kids are, you cant expect all klikers to be mature and responsible. However though, this site could use a Silly post board, and an Off-topic board, places where all the crazyness is held.

i like the idea of an "editor's choice" thing... maybe an icon by the side of the game in the downloads list, there's no reason for a totally seperate list. maybe you could have the option of "view only editor's choice" on the list, i dunno.
I think there should be more smart and talented people, but thats just me. I also think that someone should take advantage of the numerous trolling opportunities that are just wasted every day.
what? meaner admins? look, tdc only is already mean enough. Get meaner and it will only suck everything more.
Let me give you an example, you know how formula1 car's fins and wing thingies parts are all expendable?? and when the car collides these parts usually get separarated or destroyed. If these parts didnt separate, absorbing the collision themselves, THEN the user of the car would end up absorving the collision against his steering wheel.
Now, you guys cant kick and ban every single dude who makes a silly post or a bad game, that way the whole comunity suffers. If you want to be on real cool klik site.. go to any other shortlasting communist klik sites around, like total-klik or Podukan-klik etc. Now, if you set up an Off-topic, or Roofle Den Board section, those will absorve all the dogzers and ashmans around. And the Help board doesnt suffer.
I meant people who started arguments and stuff. IE the MMF/TGF debate posts (both of them) because now nothing is being done at all and n00bs can get away with too much O_o
There need to be more admins.If anyone is good at leadership roles and being an admin, it could be a good idea to volunteer to be an admin.
When will someone update the polls!? The current admin need to be able to change the polls weekly. But, good old Shadowcaster won't let the other admins do this. He hasn't been here for weeks!
Competitions for DC points every now and then would be a good new feature.
I vote for make 3 sections:
a) Grade A. Well done games, well presented with screenshots and description.
b) Well presented games. Games that are at least fully completed, and has screenshots and a descripion.
c) Games that arent even games, no screenshots.. or games that trully doesnt show too much effort.
any person can do it do it, if you want to use thumbs up system its fine to:
Grade A) A full good(with 70% or more thumbs up) game with screenshots and description
Grade B) A full playable game with proper screenshots and descrition
Grade C) A game with no description OR screenshots. (Probably incomplete too)

Well the rating thing wouldn't work, as some of us have crappy free hosting that dosn't display screenshots. And of course people post stupid posts, that's me when I'm drunk on soda! (I'm an american teenage, so I have a couple of pints of soda in the fidge.) And there should be more admins who are understanding about comments, like ashman, and not touchy, like CIRCY (see the high voltage comment board for info...). And stop this nazi admin crap! It's utter bullplop, to quote Homer J. Simpson. BULLPLOP! Also, we needa tweak the TDC rating system (I think admins get DC points for news posts! How whacked is that? While we toil in the dungeons, the admins get easy points for doing what they should be doing in the first place!). We also need to give out tdc points according to game (3 points for game, 5 points for engine, 7 points for tutorial, etc.). It's funny how almost every forum post is either steered towards insulting both Pete and myself. I don't consider myself to be a touchy admin, but there are levels of stupidity which should not be accepted. As Pete said in another post, we're providing you all with a service to get your stuff recognised - for FREE. I'm giving up a lot of free time for TDC and Klik-Me, and I will NOT accept insults when all I'm doing is doing my bit to try and keep the community alive.

If games only got DC points if they got 20 thumbs up, then most good games will be left out. Some great games are very overlooked like my recent game Wizard Wars 2 for example. It got good reviews from the people who did play it But, sadly it was overlooked by most people.

nah, not too harsh, but harsh enough yes. No need to start fooling around, if banning is an important issue as it is, then it should be taken with precaution.
Now, we cant solve the insult problem other than putting warings all over the place.
The issue at hand is: games with no description or screenshots, and half done games that arent pleasant and maybe even hurt the comunity a little.
Maybe the guy is just dumb, so he deserves a chance to post his game. But we deserve to be able to browse through a selection of games that are pleasant to play, thats why we desesperately need to categorize game into difernt qualities NOW. Oh and plz add a searcher for articles and downloads.

The Thumbs system is enough. Putting another category for games just adds more trouble to SC and the other admins.
Most of the admins aren't harsh. Just Pete. And Circy if anyone says anything bad about them. You just don't notice the others because they're so kind that they don't say anything if they have nothing nice to say.
The editor's choice thing would be nice. It'll mean that we need an extra editor. It'll also mean that people will be bugging the editors for a spot on the editor's choice list just in case they 'overlooked' a game. Of course, I'm sure the editors wouldn't mind since it is their job, after all.

Don't diss on pete and circy. they hold this site together. Meanwhile, shadowcaster takes a 2-week break. Pete states the rules, and circy enforces them. Everyone else does the news and makes games. So stop having EVERY SINGLE FREAKING POST go torwards "The admins suck and/or are nazis". Notice how only Pete and CIRCY get insulted because they don't just sit on their asses, so they're deemed harsh.

I think IF The Daily Click reached a point, at any time, that "improvement" and "effort" are at undefined priority with each other, it would be time to bring in more manpower (or girlpower, you go girl!) to TDC.
So anyway effort is expendable, and you should put some of these thousands of damn klikers here at the job, ANYONE would like this job here i bet. TDC has tons of active members (lets not lose them).
So being effort and work not a subject here anymore, I think it comes to inmediate priority solving what I hear as "Games at the tdc suck, and some of them have no description or screenshots".. or simply "TDC sucks" by Podukan 2004.
Dave_Cv4, who is a great member of TDC, agrees with categorizing the games in 2 maybe 3 sections.
This is all for the benefit of browsing games at tfc, wich is at the moment in disaproval (not by me) but to many decent people, some who I heard bringing down TDC verbaly on #k&p.
Edit- Thumbs up and down arent 100% reliable, but say if a game has more than 15 votes AND 70% of the votes are thumbs up, there is a fairly good change game is good.
I sort of like it how it is. And another thing...Its not that fair to say only kids submit crappy games. Look at Watkins. The guy was only 13 at the time, and that turned out to be a classic!

Yes yes, it's not fair bringing down little kids for their age, in fact its better to encourage them, encouragement can prove to be a very powerful tool not only for kids but for grownups too.
But.. if i see a game with just ripped off graphics, and with mmf's predefined movements.. with a 4 mb file music... no screenshots or description.. and when I download it I realize the game doesnt even has a propper story and nevermind an ending... Then it makes me think there should be a way for me to AVOID coming along those.
The goal of separating these games is simple, to have a pleasant walkthrough along klik games download. Im pretty sure you all want to agree with this.
I "could" be able to go through the bad games too.. (if I wanted..) but I MUST have the choice to not go through the them. This is unless you dont mind this legion of people sad at TDC's current "situation", I know I DO mind.

You should enjoy your AWESOME kid life while it lasts, cuz then you'll be obligated to STUDY man.. STUDYING SUX! not to mention grownup responsabilities..
