Anyone remember em? The Moomins?

Fat fluffy white cartoon characters that used to be on TV.

You must remember! Moomin-mama? And Moomin-papa? And the funny fisherman guy in the weird green hat!? DOES NO ONE REMEMBER THE MOOMINS!!??

Indeed. But America has had its own unwanted sprogs of the TV Industry... 'The Chair' gameshow with that tennis guy; several 'Robot Wars' clones; etc.

I do have one question, though: Is there some law in America which states that if a TV Presenter gets bad ratings, he must be exiled to the UK?

All our American presenters SUCK! I mean just look at the guy on 'Full Metal Challenge'!

Example:

Brit' girl presenter: "Our teams have to construct a machine to battle through our obstacle co-"
USA guy presenter: "BLAAAGH!! FRAGABLOOGH!! I LIKE TO BLOW STUFF UP!! I'M SO STRANGE AND LOOK SO WEIRD, AND HAVE OBVIOUSLY NEVER SEEN A CAMERA BEFORE!!"
Brit' girl presenter: "...obstacle, uhm, course, and rack up as many points as-"
USA guy presenter: "GUHOO! GAHA!! I'M A PSYCHO!! I GOT THREE WORDS FOR YOU!! 'YOU' 'SUCK'! HAH!!!"

...

So I have concluded that it's some bad-tv-presenter-exile conspiracy. Yeah. Think about it.

The guy on Full Metal Challenge is Henry Rollins, a singer dude who shouts a lot. And the Moomins, shit man, that was a freaky show. Wasn't it like Japanese or something?

But before there was a TV show, there was books. Does anybody know who originally write the moomin-books? (This is a quiz question )

Come with me
Give me your hand
I'll take you off
To Moomin Land

You can fly
Just like a bird
And sing the best
Song ever heard

They were Moomins, they were the Moomins

Naa-nana-naa-nananana-naa-naa, Naa-nana-naa-nananana-naa-naa, Naa-nana-naa-nananana-naa-naa-naaaaa!

P.S - About the Amer-Anglo presenting thing, the UK's version of Scrapheap Challenge is well better than the US Junkyard Wars.

Average day on Scrapheap Challenge:
Army Man: Oh no! Our hydraulic's system has broken down, we need to re-align the pistons and recharge the compression tanks.
2nd Army Man: Lets just hit it with a big hammer.

Our version is much more comical.

Moomins ruled... Speaking of British cartoons on at 6am, does anyone remember this cartoon about a French girl called Madeline who went to an all girls boarding school? It's called... Madeline. That had the most amazing theme tune and plots ever.

P.s. I always thought the moomins looked smooth as opposed to someone saying they were fluffy?

OMG.. yeah i remember Madeline.. that show was spooky coz I really loved that show for some unknown reason. I like, HAD to watch it. Maybe it's hypnosis. Didn't they make some crap film of it with actual actors and the like? The cartoon I hated the most was the Raccoons. Cyril Sneer scares me. And does anyone remember Stopit and Tidyup?

The best kids cartoon on telly was Fireman Sam.

He's always on the scene
Fireman Sam
And his engine's bright and clean
Fireman Sam
You can not ignore

*Cool guitar riff*
Sam is the hero next door

And remember Squiddly Diddly??? I actually hated that programme. But I still watched it (only GMTV on other channel).

The reason why he is always in the scene, is because he starts the fires in ther first place.

Another cartoon like Fireman Sam was....
Postman Pat

*Cue noodle and his rubbish singing*

I never really saw the Moomins (I saw them on foreign TV but looked scary). What about... Dangermouse? Count Duckula, Superted... I have no idea why I actually saw them, probably because they were repeated and/or were videotaped a few years before.
