Are you able to have active pictures that animate? Because i made an animated gif, and when i display it it only plays the first frame. The only other ways of doing this that i can think of, would to change the picture in code every so often, so it looks like it is animating. Or to make an active object and copy/paste frames in.

Any ideas?

cant you just Import the GIF into an active object's animation? i don't think active picture can be animated... i belive its purpose is to be a static image that you can resize, skew etc.

Having only just got MMF a few days ago i been messing around with it over the last few nights, this was one of the things i tryed. Yes you can have animated active objects when i tryed to import a gif it only imported one frame of it., but when i tryed to import a avi it imported the whole thing. Kinda strange maybe a bug in the code?

A quick search on download.com pops this up

perhaps u can make your gif to a avi then import it

i think animated gifs are stored as a list of files
mmf probably wasnt designed to open animted gfs so it just takes the first picture from the file

that's what animation IS. a constant change of image
