I was wondering how many DC members where going to the Convention! I've never been there but when I work in the holydays the chances may be 70/80% I'm going this year! So, who are going???

I would, but I don't have the money nor the means to go. Now if they had one here in Malaysia and I had the money, I'd most likely go...

Curse you UK-ers...

If there was one in the US, I would definetly go!! That would be SO awesomeness. I can't make it to the one in Britain. No chance at all. Although I am going to that convention in L.A., I might start a topic about that once the time comes nearer.

What does the convention show anyway, just mmf 2 or is there some 'normal' klikkers that do stuff too (like show off their games)?

I would go but I live in the US. They should really have a click convention in the US, and if not, a click party (though there probably would be massive arrests for underage drinking and/or minors at a party with alcohol, considering a lot of klikkers are underage and a lot of other klikkers drink).

Well, I posted a question on where it was and i don't know who told me where it was and gave me a link to the forum post somebody had supposedly put up. When I read that forum post, it sounded like a bunch of p***heads were going to bloody football match dammit!!!It said stuff like "try not to get drunk the next morning" I mean it's a blood click convention not a bloody piss-up(is it?) I also got sort of confused becasue i thought a click convention was a place where loadsa klikers meet up. And another thing America gets all the good stuff give people like me in the UK a chance!

It does state the actual dates! If you just klik on "Convention 2003" you get like dates, streetmaps, hotels, a list of things that are going to take place X)...
What it says exactly:

Dates

The dates are Saturday 13th September and Sunday 14th September. Yes thats right its going to be a two day convention this year, due to the amount of content we have to get through!

I'm not sure Hemel Hempstead is the best place to hold the convention. I've lived there all my life and I know that there are alot of thugs and hooligans who live around Hemel. But it's a good thing the hotel is no where near the town. That's where they mostly hang out and beat up grunges for no apparent reason. But I'm not a grunge so I'm safe.

But apart from all that I think I will go, heck it's a 10 minute drive from my house.

BTW, for most of you who don't live near Hertfordshire, taking the train to hemel and getting a taxi is proberly the best idea to get to the click convention. It may be more dearer than a long boring drive but at least you get there quicker.

And it will be good chance to meet some klikkers like Chris Street and Shen.

To Spiderhead: I disagree! Ok it costs something but I must say I THINK (never been there) it will be worth it! From the things I've heard about it, I would like to come!

I would love to orginize a convention here in the US...
I was thinking that it could be like a 2 way confrence...
What I mean is a large projector screen and 2 video
cameras... then live video feed over the net...

what ever, I dont hang around on the clikcteam
forums so...

Oh course it would probably get big

Hmmm being more than half a world away never helps!

If I were to go in general i'd rather be there to be having a holiday to the UK rather than just for the convention, just too much money, time spent on a plane and effort to just indulge in the latest Click has to offer and meet up with some of you lovely people

Some day perhaps...when and if i'm made of moneY!

I just downloaded a introduction movie on Click Convention 2000! I hope 2003 isn't going to be the same cause it was quite... small! There was like a room the size of a normal living room with maybe 18 people in there! They started to introduce themselves and then sat down and listened to a story... Someone who's been there! Please tell me this wann't the only room of the Click Convention! :|

BTW, I've wondered for a bit, why is the convention set in Hemel, does anyone else live there except for me.

"Excuse my ignorance but what the heck is a grunge?"
~Mr Saturn

This is just a simple term for one who likes to listen to heavy metal/punk, scateboards, wears sort of baggy clothing, I'm not best at describing a grunge but you should know who I mean.

And if not just pretend you do know what I mean.

The convention will be a 2-day event. The dates are either the 13th and 14th of September, or the 14th and 15th... I can't exactly remember which. Tickets will cost about 33 because of this (its a bargain, they're 16 a day instead of 18! Again, details need to be finalised. Sarah and I have been keeping in close contact about the convention, if there are any more details then I'll let you know. But if anyone's going to the convention and has any ideas for anything there, send either Sarah or Jason at the Clickteam forums a mail

I remember the saddest day of my life was hearing about the first Click Convention...getting all excited, then realizing that I was unable to go just because I live in the greatest country in the world. What a rip. So anyhow, I may plan a Click Users bash or somethin. I'm located in Georgia. I'd have to know how many people were interested though.

It's my humble opinion that Circy should never have been made Admin. (I don't remember why now.)
