At last I have finished my 2nd year at uni and now I feel it is time to pick up where I left off- with the return of Yokoy. Although the game is the same as described on the web-site:
1-4 players from 8 characters
Difficulty levels which affect the entire gamapley- not just how much health and cash you start with
Massive world of about 64 set locations and infinite dungeon levels with random scenery generators, huge quests in plot and endless subquests.
Full experience, money, artifact, guild joining (and benefit) systems
Hopefully I'll incorporate my new magic system which inculdes familiars (pets!)

There is one major change in the game- I have made a smaller resolution version which has the screen zoomed in from 800x640 to 400x320- this means I now have a scrolling game which makes things more intersting as you don't know whats coming, pluc the char's and gfx are bigger giving it a slightly more tactical edge in multiple battles- that is, you can see if the rangers arrows are actually hitting you or the skelton and whether the priest has cast a healing circle on you or not .

I am hoping that I can release a tasty game trailer soon to help people understand the new resolution setting; it's been sat on my computer for a year now, but I didn't want to release a trailer if the game wasn't coming- that would be no fun!

Anyway, just to let peeps know
cya

O cool man, i was wondering how that was going. What i would really like to see is that cowboy game where you rob stuff. Yokoy is pretty cool, i remember the deathmatch games

When I get back home and online next week i'll go through my stuff and try and put together everything i've done for it. I fully designed the game on paper with 4 full maps and with everything detailed, as it is like a monkey island style game. I'll scan in the plans if you want and send them your way with all the .gam files.
