What part do you need help with? The double tap part or the dash part?

The double tap is easy. Just have a counter that acts as a timer. When the user presses once you set the value to something like 20 then decrement it always. If the user presses the key again before the value gets to zero activate the dash.

I haven't used the platform movement object so I can't help out much with the dash itself. I guess you could just temporarily increase the players movement speed?

I did exactly that lol. it gives you about a third of a second to hit the button again, then it increases the max x velocity from 120 to 200. guess i was just too tired the first time i tried it and messed something up.
