Hello everyone! I am currently working on a rpg inspired by the greats such as chrono trigger and finalfantasy.
However when creating my custom movement I ran into a problem when moving diagonally. The movement itself works good so far, except the character "stutters" when moving diagonally. Here is how it works: An invisible detector (wich has the standard 8-directional movement) and the character who follows the detector via moveit object extension. Also if there are interested collaborators(art, programming, ideas,level design) feel free to join in!
There are a couple of things wrong with this from first glance.
Don't use the moveit extension. Take that out. Instead position the character ontop of the detector like so:
Always
-Set Position of "Player" (Then select the detector)
Next I noticed your GUI elements seemed to be locked to the player. Don't do it that way. Instead place the GUI elements in the top left corner of your frame and uncheck the "Follow the Frame" option in the object properties.
