Hello,
Does anyone know if mmf2 games can be exported to apple devices from an ipad? the clickteam thread says that you need a mac AND a device- seems like a big set up (an colossal waste of money) for essentially just a conversion tool. Doing testing AND converting on one ipad doesn't seem so too bad. Anyone know if that is possible?

Cheers

It's not possible to compile code on an ipad.

There might be an un-official way of doing it on a PC, but I haven't looked into it.

Hi Lobot,

it doesn't produce a ipad binary just like it produces a java binary.

MMF2 exports to an intermediate format which is, as I believe, just plain object C source code with all of your data assets. This project bundle then needs to be compiled with the official iphone/ipad devkit.

These reason for this weird construction has something to do with licensing issues from Apple. There is this condition which says (or said nowadays) that only object C code may be used to write your iphone/ipad app or iOS game in this case.
